I was 18 when i had my first years insurance. The price for myself driving was in excess of £1500 and with 3 additional drivers it went down to £950. Now that i am looking for quotes for my second year insurane policy its the other way around. For myself its £700 and with 3 additional drivers its £1100 (approx). I really cant understand the insurance companies logic. Has this happend to you, or is it just me. I find that it is strange.....

My car was stolen 40 days ago and has not been found. My Insurance (state farm) is pending on the Lien Holder's information before writing the check to them. My next car payment is coming up though. Am I responsible? I have signed the Power of Attorney form, turned over my keys to them (per their request) and purchased a new car since my rental benefits ran out. Also, What would happen if they find the car NOW... ?

what should I do now? Do I need to phone up the insurance company and tell them I will probably be doing about 17 or 18,000 miles because my circumstances have changed? Is this likely to add to the cost of my cover? cheers in advance. ps for the record the car is a £1,000 Skoda so we are only talking a cheap car here, not a Ferrari.

I had two small fender benders in the last two years and three years ago totalled a vehicle. Have had insurance with the same co for 10 years no wrecks before, my insurance is now $1100. 6 months. do they base it solely on accidents some people say they base it on your credit score.

Please can you settle an argument for me.

I have been argueing with someone recently about insurance.
If you have 3rd Party fire and theft (or third party only) insurance on a car, are your passengers insured if you have an accident?? This may sound a silly question to some, but I just need the argument settling.

Info will be much apprreciated.

I just hit someone with my car on a crosswalk while on red for pedestrians. He only sustained minor superficial injuries. I took him to the hospital to get checked and then gave him all my contacts in case he needs anything else. The hospital said he is fine, but I am concerned he might call a lawyer to try to get some money off me.(I don't mind paying what I owe) Can anyone give me advice? thanks.

State : IL
The car slipped due to ice and the pole had a protruding screw coming out of it that caused most of the damage. The bump is about 4 inches with a hole in the bumper

Would insurance companies consider the Yaris 2 door Hatchback a sport car and charge the insurance for a sport car? If so, what kind of difference is there in between that and charging inurance on a sedan with a v6?

I live in Las Vegas and I was involved in a car accident in November. There were 6 cars involved and this process is being UNUSUALLY long. It is impossible to get in contact with one of the claimants so we can not settle for our car damages. Can I sue the individuals that were held respoinsible for the auto accident?

I'm buying a car from someone, but to register it under my name I have to have new tags. In order to get new tags I have to drive the car to the DMV, but that would mean driving the car without insurance, and I have no other means of transportation. Is it even possible to buy insurance for a car that isn't registered under my name? I'm wondering in what order I should do what I need to do.

I recently renewed my car insurance in January. I wanted to get a quote as I want to mod my car, but had to put it off for another year as the insurance is just ludicrously expensive, and I ended up insuring with Elephhant (standard)

I have a 1.6 Honda Civic as companies such as Livingston's Warman, Sky Insurance and Adrian Flux were quoting me in excess of £1200. I have two years no claims bonus and am 27. My (standard) quote with elephant cost me £450 but only with my mum as a second driver.

Are there any companies out there who cater for modified car owners, and live int he real world. I am not looking to add any wild body kits, just simple mods like wheels, suspension, brakes, exhaust etc.

I got into a car accident in May 06, and had GAP but no regular car insurance. I bought the car, but it was on loan. I initially won in small claims court, but was just overturned on appeals. I am pretty sure I can sue her in Civil Court, but I want to know what else I can do. Does GAP help me at all? Should I notify the loan company that my car is destroyed? If I do, will it destroy my credit?

Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
