Dizzy is on Aussie drivers side with engine number just behind it. I am thinking it is not a Blu Flame 6 (235) as it just looks different and pretty original. Engine mounts appear to be in a different place too (lower)! Any help is appreciated.

Why is my 1998 VW Jetta hard to start in cold weather?
I had the Mass Air Flow Sensor replaced; car runs great once it starts and gets warm, but it cranks forever before starting in cold weather, and runs rough for a few seconds, then it's fine. It has 2.0 liter, 4 cyl, manual trans. No dummy lights are on. Mechanic says it may be the throttle body or distributor.

Here are some related answers from recent posts:
Automatic Choke may not be working properly, mass air flow sensor might be defective. Are there any dummy lights on?

I had this problem on my '98. Hairline crack in the voltage regulator had the car stall / hard to start / no start often in the winter. Later in spring the car would die in the rain. I sprayed various ignition parts with water (coil, wires, etc) and the car died when I got the voltage regulator wet. It revived after sitting 10-20 minutes and drying. I replaced the regulator and have had no troubles since. The regulator is at the top of the dash near the wiper.

The car broke down the other day, the shcronizer was shot. We got another one and replaced it tonight. The car started fine and was driving fine. My husband took it 10 minutes away and while he was driving home, he went up an overpass and when he was at the top, the WHOLE CAR DIED. Now he thinks we should get a new battery and try that, I think its a waste of time. Does anyone know what we should do??? HELP!

Hi I am looking into buying a 1998 Dodge Durango for 5,000, but it had transmissions problems. It goes into first gear fine but then it's passing gear before it goes into passing gear. Do you think it needs a transmission or could it be a wire that is telling the transmission to shift that way? It only has 51,000 miles on it, and looks in pretty good shape. If anyone knows what it might be thanks for any information.

Does anyone know who else besides the DT-466 (I think it is Detroit or Navistar) makes a cam-less engine. The valve train is actuated by hydraulics and very fast solenoids. Also, any news about whether Ford will still come out in time with the new 6.4 liter Powerstroke since they filed a big ol' suit against International Navistar for not standing behind some of their MANY warranty issues with the 6-"Oh no" Powerstroke. They should have never toyed with the 7.3. That was a keeper, but the EPA probably forced them into changing. (Please don't defend the 6.0 unless you have 150K miles with no probs.....a must for a good diesel.) Our last 7.3 went over 200K and was never touched, then the rings seized in a hole.

There is no leak, my garage floor is dry. I fill it up before I leave for work and after driving 70 miles round trip, and after it cools overnight it is about half a gallon low. Is there a chance that it could be pushing it out the over flow bottle? You can hear a bubbling sound after the truck has been turned off.

We're looking into buying a 1988 Jeep Cherokee. It seems to be in good shape, with no mechanical errors. There's 170,000 miles on it. How much longer will the engine last?
