I'm curious also ,did the dealer say why the engine has to be replaced ,? i haven't heard of any major defects in the engines at all on these vehicles,so i would have asked them what happened to it,but look at it on the bright side of things ,your not having to pay for the engine, its very expensive and it is covered so your lucky there, and i think if you,ll talk to them, they might cover the rest of the time you,ll need a rental to drive,or they can furnish you with a loaner car to drive, being nice will go a long way, good luck,i hope this help,s.

because you are innocent and they are tasking advantage of you
If in stock the dealer will have a replacement engine in 24 hours
if not they will have it in 36 hours
book time for an engine switch is 12 hrs max
call the chrysler corporation
call the regional warranty rep
call the attorney general
do NOT let them BS you into this
they are trying to make $$ on the rental
the car is new and they have a lot full of new and used cars to lend you

Its a dodge that should say it all. And if you call the regional manager they would maybe extend your rental it should not take 10 days to fix anyways it should take 2-3 days most a dodge near me will do in that time.
