Definately, I just did the same upgrade to mine last week! You can actually use the alternators off off the early to mid 90's Taurus's, some Lincolns and T- Birds. I got mine out of a Taurus with a 3.8l engine it had a 130 amp alt. . The upgrade only cost me $40 versus a $140 for a new one!!!! It just takes some simple upgrades to the wiring , other than that it's plug and play, good luck!!!!!!!!!

installation a rapid set up takes considered one of two routes- a million. you purchase a high quality kit, that has training and each ingredient you desire. 2. You spend a good number of time doing examine, fabrication and getting to understand the annoying way. Now the superb ingredient approximately going with determination one is that the finished undertaking may well be finished in an afternoon or 2. The undesirable ingredient is that it expenditures a team of funds. If I knew a provider provider of a high quality kit, i could supply you the top cost. Now determination 2 isn't so superb- it could take a pair of 365 days of examine to perceive what rapid charger supplies the AR ratio you desire, confirm the thank you to get sufficient gasoline to the pistons, the thank you to alter the ignition curve, the place to place sensors for inlet air temp and rigidity, and the place to run all the plumbing. Then comes the fabrication and installation. while it is waiting up- then the worry shooting starts off and this could take some engines to get all the bugs worked out. So I recommend which you hit upon a stable Mustang communicate board and spot what others have tried. per risk some one there could have finished most of the artwork for you. There additionally are Mustang Magazines available and on the internet, per risk considered one of them has an editorial on an installation. The above is as a pair of finished information as may well be provided in this area.

at first i was thinking it was the updated alt with the 2 bolts going down from the top. anyway, regardless, go and get the replacement pigtail for the alternator, or you'll probably have a fire and a new alternator shortly.
