I've had a Corrado VR6 since 1995..it still goes like a dream.
I've put bigger alloys on it and lowered the suspension.It still blows the socks off pretenders like the Civic type R and Focus RS even the R32.I get people asking me to sell it but it's worth much more than the money I'd get for it.I cant understand VW not continuing the range...I heard that they were planning a new Corrado but have not heard anything since.

I have a new polo - I like it, I had a Peugeot 206 before - nicer looking than the Polo but its interior finish was bad - shut the door and the handle fell off, piping on seats fell off etc and I had it for 3 years from new. The VW is still as good as new.

I have had 3 beetles ( one of which was a 6 volt model)
1 type 2 caravanette
1 passat
1 polo
And I am now driving a golf TDi.
I can't stand Volkswagens. But I just like going into my pocket, and pulling out the key fob with VW on it. Call me old fashioned if you like.

Had a VW Passat for a couple of years. Farfehrtnugen means "east german piece of ****". After 20K miles the rear brake pads were shot. Interesting considering it is a front wheel drive car. Had several other problems as well that VW was well aware of were common problems, but refused to do a recall. I now have a Honda Accord. No problems since and cost me less.

Like it. Easy to fix when I need to fix. Easy to push it on the side of the road by yourself. Parts are plenty and cheap at autowreckers. VW people are helpful to others.

I use to own/drive a VW and I really liked it, alas it was quite old when I sold it but I believe still going strong.

We have my Jetta - 2003 (with only 28k miles!!!)
His R32 - that thing FLIES
And our 1978 VW Van - hideous yellow color, but so much fun!

well, i work with VW mechanics, so I HATE THEM!!
i like a few things they do, but for the most part they suck.
the absolute WORST feature in a VW is the owner.
i swear, you take a normal person, give em a lobotomy, then they are a VW person.
