Car Makes - January 2007

I have a 99 Auto Excel, Twin cam. In the past few weeks on 4 occasions I have gone to start my car and the battery is dead, hence I have had to get someone to jumpstart me. I have had one person tell me it's a problem with the alternator and another telling me it's the battery. I have not replaced the battery since I bought the car in Oct 05 and don't know how long the person before had it? Can anyone assist a clueless blonde?

When I put the car in reverse, nothing happens, it doesnt even seem like the trany wants to grab. Do you have any idea of what could be causing this. I already tryed changing the transmission fluid, but that didnt do nothing.

hi, I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9 I'd like to increase horsepower and torque. I have a flowmaster on it now and just bought a universal magna flow catalytic converter along with ngt (i believe) o2 sensors. I replaced the o2 sensors but have to modify the piping for the cat. would it be better to just save money and get true dual exhaust. the other thing also I'd like to put headers on it would i improve anything with headers, the universal cat, and flowmaster, or do the true dual instead?

how do you check the fuel injectors on a 2003 chev tahoe, my tahoe stalls, when i let off the gas, like coming to a stop, making a turn, backing up...the engie will start up with no problem, i've changed my oil, oil filter, fuel pump, fuel screen, fuel filter, given my tahoe a full tune up, still stalling when rpm's drops below 5

I've driven a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.5L and the sound was *unique*... but that's a dream car I cannot afford...

My uncle has a Lancia Kappa and the sound of the engine has also drawn my attention. It's a 2.0 gasoline engine and sounds really nice.

Until last week, I thought diesel engines had the worst sound in the world; but then I drove my friend's Lancia Lybra 1.9 jtd and waw, what a sound :)

Which makes are famous for their engine sounds? Besides Porsche, I know, I love them, but they are too expencive ;)

Hi,
I just bought a 1990 VW Golf MK2 Driver - 5 Dr 1.6,
RIGHT HAND DRIVE I AM IN THE UK

the car has a leak, behind the drivers seat, after the seat railing near the door, its about a 15cm damp spot and is more of a rectangle shaped spot.

there seems to be no water coming from the door or roof?? seals seem ok

any hoses run under the seats and carpet?? could i have a hole in my car or under it??? ANYTHING clogged??

any ideas?? thanks!!

Rebuilt tranny 2wks ago today tranny locked up mechanic says motor mounts wore down on front axle and it broke but I just replaced axle 3 months ago could that happen? When i hit bumps it thumps is that cause of motormounts too?

I replaced the fuse, but all that happens is the directional arrow comes on and just stays there. It was flashing furiously. Now it just stays solidly lit. Any ideas?

i was driving around stopped at a place went to start again and would not start have recently changed fuel pump fuel lines gas tank fill neck i poured gas into the tbi unit and it still did not fire the fuse for the pump is ok and i can hear the pump run for 2 sec when turning key if anyone ccan help me i would appreciate it
