I am curious of the number, as I am looking at one. They seem fairly rare and I am already pretty affluent with finding numbers on the GTOs. Seems like a solid deal, but do you find the numbers on the engine block in the same place on an OHC6 Lemans? Also, do they sell reproduction LeMans interior in different colors? What about a book to decipher the #'s on the block, intake, data plate, vin, ect.? Any additional information would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

Am I risking it ?

I'd rather wait till 60,000 miles. After all, its £350 to have new cambelt (+ the water bottle ect) with a top specialist garage... and quoted more at VW themselves.

Its a VW Golf, had since new. My own feeling is VW is being extremely conservative saying to change cambelt every 4 years, even if little mileage done...... or am I being too cynical ?

I don't really wanna pay for something that doesn't need doing, or has low risk of breaking before 60,000 miles.

I have advertised in the local newspaper and have had alot of bites on it but nobody seems to have the money. I have to sell it to get the down payment on a house i am buying. This black Dakota sport rocks! It a brand new stereo system in it. Keyless entry alarm system plus lifetime warranty. Is there a good way to get the word out there?

What does a 1990 Honda Accord look like?
Does it look anything like the 1996 model?
Would the V6 engine from a 1996 Accord (Automatic) bolt up to the 1990 Accord 4Cyl Manual's transmission?
Does anyone know where I could view pictures of a 1990 Accord?

I have a 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 80k on it. Two days ago the Jeep started to make a whining sound from the front driver side wheel. It does not occur after the Jeep has sat over night but starts after a couple of trips throughout the day and only happens when you reach a speed of 15mph or higher. The tone changes with the speed, and sounds like the dust shield is rubbing against the rubber of the wheel. No change in tone or feel if the wheel is turned left or right. I have checked the tire, dust shield, pads, and calibers then greased all the points possible. No scaring is present on the tire. I am beginning to wonder if it is the Hub and Bearing Assembly. Any thoughts before I replace this part?

I don't know if the steering is loose or alignment is off. Every time I am going straight down the road, I am always correcting the steering. Does this vehicle have over sensitive steering or is it just me?

After driving in a parking lots, and moving very slow, not depressing the gas pedal, just idleing, or when backing up without depressing the gas pedal, then when I try to accelerate, it is fine up to about 20 MPH, and it begins to stall, if I give it more gas it jerks and stutters, so I have to back off gas pedal. The only way to make this go away is to turn the ignition off and re start the car and it is fine unti I go into the idleing stage again. Other then this the car runs great without any problems. Any ideas ???

I have a 91 Ford Escort that the battery went dead in, no problem right? I hooked up jumper cables (they are pretty old) and tried to jump it...I hooked it up to the running vehicle first then to the Escort, it threw sparks when I tried connecting it. I thought maybe I had them backwards for some reason, so I switched them...same thing, sparks still flew. So I was thinking that the jumper cables probably had a short in them or something since they were so old. I got another pair and tried them...I got the headlights to work, but nothing else...I looked in the fuse box under the hood and noticed that the "Main Fuse" (which is a 100 amp fuse) had blown. So I replaced that fuse with a new 100 amp fuse. The battery does not seem to be charging (I checked it with my multimeter...before charging it was at 0.02 volts and after charging for 10 minutes it was still at 0.02 volts even after revving up the running car)...plus, there are still sparks when I connect the jumper cables.
