I have a 07 Scion Tc i love the car and take it from a person who likes to build and tinker with imports they have alot of options and they are much better then any Ford or Chevy and take it from them people that are driving them from what i read all the people that were driving scion wether xb, xa, tc they are great cars. Also most of the people that said that they were sucky didnt drive one and most liekly they own a ford or chevy and im not sure if u have heard that chevy and ford are getting put out of buisness by toyota and honda, but i will say again it is one of the greatest cars i have ever driven!!!

I don't own a tc, but I've had my xB since the second month they were pre-released in California. What's not to love about the cars? They are great bang-for-the-buck, htey actually care about style AND practicality, and they're made by toyota so you get excellent resale and reliability.

You could buy a saturn, but I guarantee when you sell it you will lose 50% more than you would with a scion. xB was just rated as one of the best holding resale cars, and I'm certain that the tc will hold it's value as well.

JD Powers has there rating thing on initial quality, but in the long run they've missed the mark on more than just a few things.

Bottom line for car buying: find cars that meet your needs in your price range. Then find the coolest ones in that group (the ones you wouldn't be embarassed driving). Then find the one that going to give you the most lasting value. You'll probably wind up with a scion!

I prefer the tC over the Celica, HOWEVER I would not trade in a car, only to get a car in the same class. There should be a SIGNIFICANT gain in at least one category. I think the tC is better in almost every way, but the margin is not significant enough to warrant a trade in IMO. Those cars simply have too many similarities. I would keep the Celica until you can afford a more refined car. That way, your trade will be a true upgrade to a much better vehicle. For instance, I currently own a 2007 Scion tC, and I'm trading it in for a Infiniti M35 Sport. I wouldn't do something like trade in my tC for a RSX Type S (even though the Acura is slightly better)

I am in the auto business and I consult purchasers on all types of vehicles. I am able to get people any make and model they choose, which allows me to be very objective about my recommendations. Here is my take on the Scion tC.

Scion tC is a great little car. Very sporty, excellent engine 2.4l Camry motor, looks great, fun to drive, comfortable seats, quality build and great resale.

The great thing about Scion is that Toyota wants auto buying to be pleasant, not a stressful chore. You have one price shopping, so you don't worry about getting ripped off. You do need to decide what options you want, prior to going to the dealer. You should also get your financing approved first - try a local credit union. Also, make sure the salesmen don't talk you into getting a car you are not crazy about - its your money, not theirs!

Good luck and feel confident you made a great choice with the tC.

I am also buying a scion tc soon. I have done TONS of research on this and come to the conclusion its the best car in its class!! Next I test drove it and love it. Interior and design is top notch and drivability is unbelievable. Of coarse im going to be "tweaking" it a little w/ trd supercharger (supported by factory warrenty) and lowering kit. I totally reccomend it! THUMBS UP!

i have a 2007 Scion TC!
i completely adore it. It's pretty great on gas, and its really fun to drive. I love that it has 2 sunroofs as well. I would highly recomend it. But, the only thing i would change, is i wouldnt get it in dark blue. Scratches really show. The light blue, black cherry, and silver colors are all nice. Its a great car.

I dont have one, but they did really bad in JD Powers test. If you are willing to spend a little more buy the Saturn Aura. It is the next big thing waiting to happen. Owners say they constantly get asked "what is that" or "Is that really a Saturn?". Once you have seen and driven one, you will own one. Go read the Edmunds.com reviews for the Saturn Aura, there is not one bad one unlike the CAmrys two pages of negative reviews. The Saturn is also much cheaper than anything else in its class. It has a standard V6 and automatic transmission, which is thousands less than an equal CAmry already, not including all the small things the Aura has. Do yourself a favor and test the Saturn Aura.

I have an 07 TC, I have had it since June. No problems with it yet. Good gas mileage, lots of interior room. The car has a Toyota Camry Engine so it will last forever....

I am a 2x owner of the tC, I love the vehicle! both of mine have been 05's, but can't imagine they have gotten worse! When we bought our 1st one we did alot of internet research prior to buying, and pricing is straight across the board, no haggling, you can easily price it at http://scion.com Good luck, and maybe we'll see ya at one of the Scion events!!
