anybody with actual experience having both of these heads on their b20b/z? which one was stronger? i already know about b16 outflowing the gsr but gsr yields higher compression.

The difference between the two head is very minimal. You would yield a high compression with the GSR head. If you were to use B16 (P30) Pistons you would yield a higher compression than with ITR pistons using the GSR head. The GSR Intake Manifold has poor air flow so yes the B16 Intake Manifold does outflow it. The AEBS Intake Manifold would be a much better choice for the GSR Head compared to the Skunk2 Intake Manifold and it's been dyno'd proven although it's still a nice intake manifold. The Skunk2 Intake Manifold is pretty much a replica of the ITR Intake Manifold therefore the Skunk2 Intake Manifold was designed to flow with the ITR or B16 Intake Ports. The GSR Intake Ports and B16 Intake Ports are different. If you plan on installing some mild aftermarket camshafts later down the road then I would suggest you go with the Edelbrock Performer X Intake Manifold but there are some firewall clearance issues with brakelines that are on the firewall but its not a big issue.
