How do I fix this? Do I need yo buy a new one?

i am getting white smoke when i turn the heater on
from another question i can saftly assume this is a heating core issue i do not have money to replace it though so
i need to bypass it-- can i screw anything else up by bypassing the heating core?

will the overall cooling system be affected in any way

how long can i drive with a bypassed heater core?

i live in san diego so i can deal with out heat

how easy is this to do

and how much would this cost if i took it to a shop?

I borrowed my Aunts car for a few months and was pulled over for not having a front license plate (and additionally found out the cars tags were expired) a couple times. I told her and she said she would take care of it. I took her word, gave back the car and forgot about it. I just recently found out that my license is suspended because the fix it tickets were never taken care of. Apparently she let the car sit in the garage for almost 9 months and then sold it to another party. Since then, shes become unreachable and Im stuck with 2 HUGE fines I have to pay. I just want to know who's legally responsible for taking care of the tix... I assume the owner of the car and if theres any way I can avoid or lessen the fines have to pay.

Unfortunately since it had been an extended period of time from when the tix were issued, they have been turned over to collections (how I found out), so they are no longer in the courts hands.

HELP!!

I have a '99 Jetta 2.0 5-speed and i'm pretty sure it's the starter....but until i replace it, pushing is outta the question 'cause I don't live on a hill. So I wanna know how to start it using the starter. I'm more than sure it can be done. I must be touching the wrong terminals with the screwdriver, 'cause it's not working for me. HELP!!!!!

other than carpooling! i'm not interested in answers like parking a block away or walking.

i want to know, does driving fast waste gas? if i drove from point 1 to point 2 at a fast speed, would it use more gasoline than if i drove from 1 to 2 at a slower speed?

are there any other techniques that i can use to use less gas while i'm in the car?

i have a jeep liberty and the gas just gets eaten up.

I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 GL automatic. I retrieved these continuous memory codes from my car: Code 157-mass air flow sensor fault,low voltage. Code172-HEGO(HO2S) sensor fault/lean. Code 452-vehicle speed sensor signal fault. Can you tell me what is wrong with my car and how do I fix the problem?

About once a week I have to add antifreeze to my recovery tank in my Ford Taurus. I do not see anything on the ground and the car does not appear to run hot yet the recovery tank becomes empty. Where is the antifreeze going? What could be wrong? Thanks

We took it apart and it has fuel presure, and a full bowl, but no fuel will go into the barrels, and the sccellerator pump won't give us any gas either, suold we submerge in in gas to clear andy ports out. We already took it apart and blew out and ports we could see.

What can I do to keep people from stealing my windshield. It has disappeared 4 times in the last week. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening. I have tried coating it with grease and using liquid nails to hold it in place but nothing has worked. HELP

On the Highways. I drive on a highway with around 5 lanes where you can go at most 120mph without a problem on the corners. Instead of 65mph the speed limit should be 90. There's proof that the faster the better in Germany.

When I'm waiting in the tunnel for a train, I always get freaked out that someone is behind me waiting to push me in front of the train. I always tend to lean back a bit just in case! I could stand in the back so its safe, but in rush hour if you're not in the front, then you'll never get on. Does anyone else get freaked out like that?

I got a new car about 4 months ago and the indicator (tire pressure) light came on 4 times already. I went to the dealer to check what's wrong with my tires and they couldn't find any cause. I think it isn't normal for the pressure to decrease that often (4 times in 4 months). Why do you think that is? And typically, how often do you need to refill your tires? I was driving and I forgot and I put the car in park going about 3-5 MPH and it made a grinding noise. then when i was backing up it made a similar noise. i just asked a question about white smoke coming out of the heater vents along with my windows always being fogged up

acording to fellow yahoo answer ppl i need a new heating core..

is there any thing else that might be broken besides the heating core?

how much is a heating core from a parts store and then put it in my self

how much labor on putting a new heating core in if i would take it to a shop...

does this need to be fixed asap aka if i dont fix it somerhing else will go wrong

or

if i dont fix it i will just have foggy windows no heat and some smoke but nothing else will hapen
