I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 GL automatic. I retrieved these continuous memory codes from my car: Code 157-mass air flow sensor fault, low voltage. Code172-HEGO(HO2S) sensor fault/lean. Code 452-vehicle speed sensor signal fault. Can you tell me what is wrong with my car and how do I fix the problem?

157=just what it says ,mass air flow sensor...if no drive ability concern ,,then your problem is intermittent,,
172=just a reaction of the oxygen sensor because of the mass air flow problem,,
452 =VSS problem,,does your speedometer work,,if it does then your problem is intermittent,,,

for now ,,check for vacuum leak,,if none and no driveability concern have it erase then observe if it come back,,,

If you're going to do this yourself, you'll need a diagnostic program like Mitchell On-Demand. I've used On-Demand 5 and it's awesome! Otherwise you'll have to take it to a shop. Code 172 could be caused by either a bad O2 sensor or a relay in the Power Distribution Box. Fixing that might resolve code 157. The speed sensor is really gonna be a *****; they were mounted on top of the transmission, and it seems to be common for them to melt a little from the heat of the exhaust manifold. I tried to remove one from a car in a junkyard, and could NOT get to it from underneath the car, even though the Y-pipe was removed. I had to disconnect the main wiring harness from the ECU, TFI module, BAP sensor, etc, and flip it over to the driver side to get it out of my way.
