I got a new car about 4 months ago and the indicator (tire pressure) light came on 4 times already. I went to the dealer to check what's wrong with my tires and they couldn't find any cause. I think it isn't normal for the pressure to decrease that often (4 times in 4 months). Why do you think that is? And typically, how often do you need to refill your tires? I wonder what happens to the average driver

In colder weather air becomes more dense and take up less space. keeping this in mind, when the air in your tires is cold it condenses and shrinks taking up less space and resulting in less pressure on the tire walls. This might be what is making you sensor come on and when your tires warm up that little bit of extra pressure might be turning off the sensor. Just my .02

Slow down on corners. The way you drive your car affects the tire pressure. Hard cornering lets air out as the frictional forces try to pry the tire off of the rim.
