I just want to know, I'm shopping for my first car. I have about $3500 and I want a car that is sporty. I like the nissan 300zx, and I need to know if its a reliable enough car and a good buy for my first car. I f anyone has any advice or knows about the car, let me know. Thank you!

The DOT supposedly checked it. When he was on his way to the company he's to drive for the truck slid into a ditch because of a crack in the air lines of the brake. When the truck was in the shop, they found corroded electrical wires and when they went to do an alignment because the truck was pulling to the one side, they found the tie rods and shocks were shot. After driving several hundred miles the rubber around the roof (I haven't seen it so I don't know what it is) started flapping and flew off. Now the truck is waiting to have that repaired along with another electrical problem with the speakers. They blew out and are smelling like they are burning. He signed some kind of a paper saying he accepts the truck as is. Not being a mechanic, how could he anticipate these problems? With the problems he has had, he could have been killed or have killed someone else. How could a vehicle this unsafe be sold? Mom and Dad have been paying all the bills. Do we have any recourse?

I recently noticed oil spots on the driveway under the front drive side, close to the inner wall of the tire. The spots are small, maybe an inch in diameter and whatever is, it's water resistant b/c the spots don't get as wet as the non spotted area when it rains. There isn't a puddle or any significant amount of 'stuff' for me to try to check what it is...Any ideas?

I have my eye a new vehicle. The dealer already is telling me the incentives total $3800 for a 2007 model car. Will it be a waste of time to deal further with the car or do you think I can go below that? I know they need to move them off the lot for next model year. Any Thoughts?

About switching over to 15" rims to give me a larger tire selection. It has no lift (I'm 5'5" and am hopping to get in already) Are there any plain black steel wheels )No Holes, No slots..just black steel deep dish),preferably deep dish..(10.5-12.5" wide on the market? What is the widest wheel and tire combo I could go to without a lift kit? I had some 33x12.5's on a 77 Ramcharger once and they fit okay....Just checking....Please provide the wheel manufacturer if you know one.

I replaced the battery in my Nissan Sentra and got the car to start up immediately. Upon trying to restart the car after making it home it will not fire up. There was a lot of corrosion on the terminals, of which I removed. After this the car started up again, however, the next time I tried again it wouldn't start (engine would not crank). I've been having to remove the connection at the positive terminal then reseat it to get the batery to start the car. I've had to do this each time I start the car. Does it sound like the connection at the positive terminal is not secure? Or could I have other electrical problems with the car?

My 97 Jeep no longer starts on the first try. I have to turn it over for a few seconds, wait, and then crank it over again until it starts. I replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires. It didnt help. I thought I might try checking to see if the timing is off. But, I dont know how. I have a friend with a timing light, but he is a chevy man. I was hoping someone might have some tips, Is there any vacuum lines or something I might have to disconnect while adjusting timing? Thanks for answers!
