I have, and drive daily, a 1993 Honda Civic DX I bought new. The only things replaced have been tires, battery, headlights, and the clutch slave cylinder. It has been an extremely reliable car, and fun to drive. Go with the Honda or Toyota. They are hard to beat. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
