hi,
I used to have a 1995 Cavalier, until about 2.5 years ago when I bought this 2004 model.
That Cavalier I had before, was standard, and I was saying I'd say about 650 to ask much as 750km on a full tank of gas. (60L)
The engine is I believe the same. 2.0L 4 Cyl engine. In fact I think now its' also an "ecotec' so is that supposed to be even MORE efficient in the 2004 model.
I get about not more than 500 maybe 550km's on a full tank now.
Not sure why this is happening.
- 58000 km on it.
-Regularly get oil changes -every about 5000 km from GM dealer
-have good tires, all season - original tires I think they should be good until about 75,000 km, still lots of tread. check the air pressure regularly.
-I don't idle my car for long times
- i don't rev my engine too much and 'take it easy' driving, keep rpm around 2 to 3000rpm.
-regularly put in fuel injector cleaner about every 10000 km
- do u think changing fuel filter would help, would i need to do this? anything else ??

After filling the oil to the full level and driving half hour, oil meter keeps a little fluctuating from full to empty point, with warning light on and beeps. The oil level seems to be good and do not drops fast. Also check the car after parking and find no oil drops or flowes onto the ground. It shows less evidence for oil leakage.I am not sure what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks for your answers.

I got rear ended at a stoplight today, I was not at fault, weather was terrible, he just skidded into me. I think I'm fine, car is a bit scratched but no biggie. I figured everything was fine until I realized after driving for awhile my turn signals aren't working, right or left. They are not flashing when I'm driving so no one can tell if I'm turning. And the little right/left arrows inside of the car on the dash that flash and make the tick-tick-tick noise aren't working either.

This question isn't about insurance, or injuries, or how he should pay for it, or how dumb I am not to have gotten his information or called the cops (I know, I know, I'm an idiot, but I was very frazzled) that part is over and done with, there's nothing I can do about it now. So please no tsk-tsking.

All I want to know is a ballpark number on what could be wrong and how much to fix it. Is it an expensive re-wiring job, especially since I can't see the lights working inside either?

Thanks in advance.

not even warm enough. Also, the engine takes a longer time than usual to warm up even after driving for a while. If left idling the temperature barely reaches 1/4. Could it be the thermostat (stuck open or something) ? Also, does a cooler than normal running engine consume more gas ? The car is a '90 Honda civic SW. Your answer is appreciated.

The domestic are just as high quality and a better value. It would be good for us to stop giving away the country and money to foreign companies. Any ideas?

My car is overheating. Before I just start replacing parts I was wondering if anyone could give me a good place to start. My car starts rough but smooths out after about 1 minute. I noticed that my floorboards were wet. I have a little heat for a second then no heat come from heater. The car is not consuming coolant. It runs for about 15 minutes then the temperature skyrockets, the fan comes on and the resevior boils over. The radiator and lower radiator hose remain cool. I replaced the thermostat. What does it sound like? A water pump, heater core, head gasket, air lock? Please let me know if you have had similar experience. Thanks!

On both the passenger and driver side doors one has to pull the door handle twice to exit.

Once to unlock the door...
And then a second time to open the door...

What function does this serve?
Who would want to unlock the door, but not exit?
Would this not pose a safely hazard?

BMW is fastidious when it comes to detail...
I am surprised that they would implement such a design feature if it did not serve a particular function...

In Brockton, MA. I currently finance my 2005 altima and last night i got into an accident. I have had the same insurance for 8 yrs and never got into an accident and even though I have full coverage and I had requested rental on my policy yrs back but they said I DONT have rental coverage. Isn't car that is financed required to also have rental so that if the car is at the shop (like in my case) I'm still able to go to work everyday to keep paying up on the car?

Apart from his own or copilots judgement. A system to do that could reduce runway overruns?
It would be relevent for shorter runways in particular. I am interested in runways where B 737s & larger aircraft land.
I suppose the system would need to issue a go around prompt or 30% or 40% of runway missed. At this point of the flight I understand that the pilot is very busy & there is not a lot of time to dither. Decisions need to be made quickly. Many pilots may resist having some control taken from them & the system could be seen as a distraction at the worst time. Could this idea have any benefit?

Is it bad to step in the liquid that leaks from cars when they are in parking lots (off and parked)? When you are wearing flip-flops, or just in general.

I live in NH where studded tires are allowed. Our State Police run them from October to April. My question: If I were to take a trip to Florida, for example, how much flak would I get for having studded tires? I'm not worried about the general public, but all the different enforcement agencies on the way.
