Is it bad to step in the liquid that leaks from cars when they are in parking lots (off and parked)? When you are wearing flip-flops, or just in general.

some fluids do cause cancer but that is after years of continued contact stepping in them once in a blue moon will not hurt you

Yes it is. The chemicals are toxic. You will also be tracking these chemicals into the interior of your car when you get in to leave. Do you really want motor oil stains on your car's carpet?

Of course.
It's usually oil, or oil based.
Slip, fall down.
Get it on the living room carpet, etc.......
