I would disconnect it from the cables and hook it up to a charger for 8 to 12 hours. If the battery is still good it should take a charge in that amount of time. If you have doubts about it I would go to a parts store or repair shop and have your battery load tested. This will determine how much life if any is left in your battery. Good luck.

Check water level in each cell. (beware acid) If cell is uncover with water. Fill to the fill line in each cell. There is a ring about a 3/4" below top. Fill with distilled water. Charge the battery. If this method will not work you may have a dead cell. Take it in and buy a new one.
