I have 98' model Toyota Corolla since one year. It runs perfectly fine and never had any problems so far. But it takes an engine oil like a hell! I checked with my local repair shop and found out no leakage on the engine but burns an oil quickly. I have been feeding an engine oil every twice a week to make it wotrh it. The engine also makes a weird noise when i press an accelerator (0 to 20mph) and then stops gradually when it takes the speed. If i feed an oil the noise is lower and cannot be heard for couple of days and after few days the noise is same ....! Do you have any idea to abolish my engine noise and save some money on oil?

Does anyone remember the name of the train/railroad they built that went completely across the United States... in the days of the coal mining stuff? I remember doing a whole chapter on it in US History 2 when I was a senior in high school about 5 years ago... and my papers are at my mothers house. So any history buff know what it's called?

I just got a 91 oldsmobile cutlass ciera for way under blue book. it only has 75000 miles on it and in pretty good shape. it needs brakes and maybe an exaust but I plan on fixing those since theyre not that expensive. but since I got it for so cheap should I sell it? I've seen ones with more miles going for $2000 and I got it for less than half that!

I'm thinking about getting an American musle car, something I can enjoy for the next ten or twenty years. Im thinking something like a 70s firebird or 60 mustang, fast back preferably, so Im trying figure out which will be affordable and maintainable in the long run, Ive been told repairs are heinous cost wise... anyone out there have any experience with keeping these kind of cars on the road? Do the costs really get out of hand?

My 1994 Ford Escort wont start. The battery is fine so I've been advised to check the starter, the solenoid or the ignition relay but I have no clue as to where to find the solenoid or the ignition relay. The car makes a very faint click sound when I turn the key but no other sound and just one click per turn.

Cuz these American cars I feel are built more solid. They are heavier. You can tell my car can smash up a japanese car during an impactful collision. so in terms of surviving do you think you will have a better chance at surviving in American cars or Japanese. Both are the same size sedans.

I can tell my car is a lot thicker.

I'm not even sure what to call it other than the solenoid wire. The wire actually will have a connector on the end of it and I need the connector and the wire to go to the solenoid. I could sure use some help finding one.

with the I-6 engine. It was brought to my shop for an intermittent no start. What happens is it will start and run all day long, when you shut it off after it has warmed up for say 20 minutes, it will not restart unless it sits for appx. 20-30 minutes. It has no spark when it acts up, there are no codes, it has power to the coil, ignitor, ECU, and the relay appears to be fine. After further checking, it loses signal to the ignitor from the ECU yet the wiring between checks ok. I also, as far as I can tell, have good signal from the pick-up coil in the distributor. I have checked and even added extra grounds with no success. I have replaced the ignition coil, ignitor, and gave it a "known good" ECU. Does anyone else have any good ideas on what could be causing this and what I might need to check? Matches and gas are not an option......yet.

At my current size (very round and wide at 6'3" and 620 pounds) I am a slow walker and have to be very careful when I get off and on my bus for work since it is easy to lose my balance as my weight shifts. Both bus drivers on my routes are very nice to me, save open bench seats so I can fit and keep offering me the use of the hydraulic handicap lift if I want. So far I have managed well. I usually get on and off last if there is a line so I don't hold anyone back and so they don't make any fat jokes. Since I keep getting offered the lift, I don't know if the drivers are just being nice or think it would be faster to put me on the lift. I have no problem walking on my own even if I am slow. It takes a lot to move this weight and I have to take my time.
