I need a Plain Jane explination of a ground loop.
I am a visual learner and have no visual to learn. so explain it to me for how it looks.

This is MECP study guide explanation:
Ground Loops result when all the components in an audio system do not see exactly the same ground. huh?

Differences in degrees of being grounded are called ground potential. huh?

Again please explain in how it looks to the eye, then explain the deffinitions I just gave you.

Also is a ground loop a bad thing?

(this is for car audio by the way)

I had a 2005 Nissian Altima. On Tuesday 10-30-07, I was rear-end by a Toyota Camry (which was rear-end by Ford Mustang) then I hit a Nissan Frontier.. All cars except for the mustang was at a complete stop. My Nissan was a total loss. My question is why didn't my airbag deploy, and looking at the damage to my car (which crumbled like paper) Is Nissan making a quailty car for the price. All cars except the my Nissan, had little damage and can be repair.

Hi, I am trying to buy a used car from a user car dealer.
I went online and found out the dealer bought this car at auction for $30k, is I want to offer him $31 or $32k for it, but does he need to pay sales tax when he bought the car? does that mean I will at least offer him like $34k or $35k since he paid sales tax when he bought the car?
please help~~~~

battery, alternator and starter have been tested and all are in good condition. What else could it be? Maybe just a bad battery post/cable?

I have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and want to see if this is possible to do: I want to weld in a Y-pipe right before the cat, and have one pipe lead into the normal exhaust (cat, muffler, etc.), and then the other end of the Y to just be open. Also, I'd want to put a plate in the Y-pipe to make it switchable between the normal exhaust and free flow (to pass inspection). Is this somewhat common? Also, does it burn up the valves at all because there isn't as much pipe between them and open air?

Any comments are gladly accepted!

I mean.... of all of them.
Pretty sure the Spitfire is going to win, but there are some that never get mentioned. esp twin engine types .
Partial to radial engine types & anything w/ a Merlin in it.
Jets don't count though the ME 262 was cool.
Would like to see what comes in 2nd.

I have a 93' Lexus LS400 with 109k miles and the gas, speedometer, and tacometer gauges are lit up fine but only work intermitently. The gas gauge never goes above half full, but is usually on empty, even when there is plenty of gas. Also, you can tell what time the digital clock reads, but it has dark parts on the display like something is wrong. Now, I was wondering if this could be linked to my car running like the exhaust is clogged at low speeds and me having to take my foot off the gas and put it back on to power through it and it sounds like it is misfiring and just drives horribly, but I can get it up to highway speeds where it runs much better and gets decent gas mileage. I had a full tune-up, had the cats checked, and had a compression test done on the engine and nobody can find the problem Could there be fuses burnt out that affect the computer and make my car run horribly and also prevent the instrument cluster from working properly even though it is lit up perfectly?

Meaning I wouldn't have to pay anything for another car if i traded my new car?

I just bought a brand new triple white special edition new beetle convertible this summer (retail $26,630) Although it is the cutest little car in the world, I am thinking about trading it in for a Mini Cooper Convertible because the mini gets double the gas mileage (I drive ALOT and it would save me money in the long run) and when I do want to sell it in the future, the value of the Mini stays solid.

Do you think I can have an even trade off? Because the retail price for Mini convertibles are only around 22 to 24K?
