I had a 2005 Nissian Altima. On Tuesday 10-30-07, I was rear-end by a Toyota Camry (which was rear-end by Ford Mustang) then I hit a Nissan Frontier.. All cars except for the mustang was at a complete stop. My Nissan was a total loss. My question is why didn't my airbag deploy, and looking at the damage to my car (which crumbled like paper) Is Nissan making a quailty car for the price. All cars except the my Nissan, had little damage and can be repair.

Your talking after being sandwiched between two wrecks and walked away and open your doors did not have to be cut out of your car. Air bag deployment mostly happens at over 30 mpg in frontal collisions you had already stopped in time and got a double rear end-er. So no need to protect you from the steering wheel The seat active head restraint did it's job a little sore but none the worse for wear. Bags deploy in a crushing front collision or a head on impact. I am' thankful the crush zones on the passengers compartment did the job. You be thankful you are here able to complain you just sold your car and did not even have to advertise or clean it up! I bet the Toyota driver was talking on the phone or was distracted so they slowed down very little and the girl in the mustang followed the toyota right on in: was putting on her eye make-up.

yeah most i think all cars are design with crush zones thats why they absorbd the impact better and if you think that the nissan was badly build then dont you think that there would be a huge law sue already and they would go bankrupt dont worry most cars are like that not only the nissan just be glad that you werent inside a yaris ive seen people have to be cut out with the jaws of life cuz the crush zones and the car is so small that you literally get stuck inside but good luck on the out come of your accident and your insurance claim

i do no longer think each and every of the Hyundai bashers on right here yet in answer on your question: in spite of the undeniable fact that Elantras with a stick run extremely nicely, this is not going you will outrun a 2.5 Altima in a 2.0 (Beta) Elantra as a results of certainty of the 30+ horsepower substitute even with the delivered weight interior the NIssan. the two.5 interior the Altima is making approximately 170hp and in spite of the fact that CVTs are garnering some risky press in diverse autos on condition that of ratio substitute 'latency', this is not the case interior the Altima. you place your foot on the gasoline interior the Nissan and this is CVT will whip the engine into this is vigor band very rapidly. the in simple terms top 2 autos i've got pushed with CVTs were a save far off from high quality and a Nissan Sentra.. The save far off from CVT took recommendations-set too long to alter ratios and get the rpms up. The Sentra in spite of the undeniable fact that in simple terms flat spun appropriate as much as redline and took off in a fashion belying this is 2 liter engine. Hyundais are genuinely very solid autos (latter years) and that i've got owned one. the sole purpose i could no longer purchase a Hyundai on the instant is as a results of the certainty that i do no longer purchase autos with timing belts anymore, notably V6s. (Too many in simple terms top recommendations out their with chained engines) the sole engine Hyundai places a sequence in for the cam(s) is the main modern-day 3.8 liter. All different Hyundai engines inclusive of the two.7 and 3.3 V6 have belts and price disproportionately too plenty to replace. Timing belts would desire to no longer be a "protection" merchandise. with any luck Hyundai will see this placed up as a results of fact i'm a great fan of their autos in spite of the undeniable fact that they'd desire to get with the cases concerning timing chains. Heck, Toyota even places a sequence on this is lowly a million.5 liter used interior the Yaris. additionally, Chevy chains all their fours and sixes different than the 4 they use interior the Aveo. desire this permits.

Pull the interior door panel from the Nissan. It will probably have a Budweiser or Coors label on the inside of the door. lol. By the way 'Nissan' in Japanese means 'Little Brother'. Guess Little bro can't stand up to the big kids.

air bags will not deploy if the car is not in motion.

as far as your car crumpling newer cars are designed to absorb energy by crumpling insted of diverting it to the people inside it is safer if the car crumpled then doesn't .

new cars don't take much to total, buy gap insurance and enjoy your new car.
