my brake lights aren't working properly, i can't put the car into gear unless the brake lights turn on but they don't turn on, when i go to stop the brake lights don't come on either but they are not blown can someone help?please leave an e-mail address so i may e-mail u if i have more questions about ur answers. thank u

The brake lamp switch is under the dash, just above the brake pedal, the switch attaches where the brake pedal attaches to the pushrod for the booster. It is a two wire connector. Check the connector to make sure it is plugged in, and that the wires that go into the connector are not broken. If the connector is good, I would advise you to replace the brake lamp switch.

sounds like your switch on the brake pedal is worn out or faulty.

That vehicle is mostly computerized. It would be best to have it looked at by your mechanic. It is too costly to replace the computer system in the car, so why take a chance on ruining it?
