I have a 2007 G35 coupe. leather on my pessenger's seating area was damaged. I taking it to an upholstery shop tomorrow to get that damaged area replaced. What I'm worried about is, the person at infiniti dealer told me that because there are alot of electrical lines and sensors for heated seats, and airbags, it's not safe to removes the seat.
What do you guys think?

It is safe to remove the seat as there should be quick dis-connect devices. However, once removed it is more difficult and this is where the skill is needed. I would pay an Infiniti tech to remove the seat cover and then take it to the upholstery shop. Let them do the repair and then have the Infiniti reinstall the cover and seat. Good Luck!

If the damage isn't extensive the seat shouldn't need to be removed. Also, most wiring I've seen from chassis to seat has been connected via a simple plug/socket arrangement, so I can't imagine it being a major problem.

Make sure the guy doing the work is aware of the sensors and sounds confident.

You may have to go back to the dealer to have the air bag light reset. Upostery shops know how to unplug the four plugs. New seat cover for the back side bolster wear cost only $1,700 why are you not replacing the whole seat back trim? MY big back side would wear out that part to. Try this when you get the seat back repaired. Back in sit down then turn in your legs. Instead of putting in one leg and sliding down the seat bolster. See it all the time at Nissan on 350Z's

try not to get get wrapped up in material things cars, etc. so what if the leather is damaged its just a car chill out! they told you its dangerous becasue you probably was so dramatic about the damage that they said what they said..now they're gonna lie to you about the price of fixing it. ( most car dealers lie) so please just roll with it.. and next time...if your that cold... carry a blanket ! hey im tryna save you from paying to much for something thats not even necessary
