I have a 2005 Harley FXST softail standard with 88ci carburated engine, with Vance and Hines straightshots HS installed by Harley. I am wanting to put unbaffled Samson Groundpounders on it because I like the sound so much better. I am wanting to know if there are any pros out there who can tell me what if anything special I need to do to it first. I have heard lots of things about back pressure, reversion cones, torque cones, nothing at all, just slap them on. ect. ect.
I am needing help so I do it right. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Where I live nobody cares about the roar! Thanks in advance........

My rear lower control arms has 3 bushes. 1 at both ends of the arm and 1 in the middle 0==0====0
One is for the Wheel assembly, middle is for the shock absorber and the end is for the chasis.

Logic tells me this arm is going to move ... well i know it because it has to, the issue is when i torque up the bolts they basically clamp the arm tight so that it wont move.

Any help on how it should be fitted ? I think idealy we want the 3 bushes to be able to rotate freely around the bolt that goes through it...but its pointless if the complete bush gets clamped on the sides.... so natrually u can loosen the nut so that it wont clamp it but then its out of torque spec and it might possible come loose... any help thanks?

i've been looking for a cheap car. cheap but that will last me a few years. My friend offered to sell me her mazda protege 1999. it's got 120,000. she would sell it for 2,000. it's got a new alternatoer but will soon need new struts.
I've always had hondas or toyotas. are mazdas good cars? 120,000 sounds like a lot ut my other cars lived well past that. could the mazda do the same.

I failed my test due to 3 minors on hesitation when tunring out of a junction. The roads were busy and he told me i was waiting for too big of a gap (i disagree - but anyway thats not the question).

I am just wondering whether you think that hesitation should be classed as a fault on a drving test. Its not dangerous driving, and by waiting for a suitable gap i am no putting anyone at risk. If anything it should prove that i am not a boy racer. My drivin instructor told me that i will only fail for dangerous driving... how is waiting for a good gap dangerous?

I have a 2004 Mitsu Lancer, the start up has began to become slow- so I was told to change the spark plugs so the starting of the car would be faster, after changing the spark plugs- i turned the car on, car fired up, then after staying in idle for 5min or so, car shuts off- i fire back up- car seems to be just dead- i try to restart and nothing at all- I recharged the battery, after that car fires back up- but again after a few minutes in idle- car shuts off - what else should i be looking for? i've check all the plugs and wires to make sure i put everything back in it's place- not sure what else to look for

My brother wants me to buy him a Subaru WRX here in the US so he can take it to Mexico. Has anyone done this before? Is it a complicated process? Would I still have to pay taxes on the car when I buy it here? Would I need to register the car? He's looking to drive it down once I buy it.

While out this lunchtime, I saw a poster for a new car which read something like, "…the feisty new car from Renault…" This lead me to question what makes a car feisty? I can understand that soft curves may confer a 'sexy' label and bold/rounded lines on a car can make it look 'mean/ muscley', but which trait(s) makes any car 'feisty'? Does a person's personality say anything about the car they choose to drive? or vice-versa? By describing a car as feisty, are the makers influencing the way people should drive? Naturally, if I owned an Aston Martin, I'd like to feel like James Bond behind the wheel. If I owned a Nissan Micra or one of those electric 'eco-buggy' thingys, I'd probably feel like Noddy.

So, in short… Do you feel that your car says anything about your personality? If so, what?

Hi.
About 2 months ago, my dad's car stopped starting. It's a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant by the way. My dad brought it to an autobody shop nearby to get it fixed. These so called 'autobody specialists' said that they didn't know what the problem was with the car, and that they would get new parts for each of the parts that they suspected of causing the problem. So first they ordered a new starter which wasn't actually the problem and after getting new parts for this and that, in the end they assumed that there was a problem with the ECU. They told my dad that if that isn't the problem, they wouldn't know what else to replace to get the car started. About a week ago, they did get it fixed which took like 2 months, and including all the parts that they replaced and the labor fee, my mom told me that they first charged my dad about $1,300, but I don't know if my dad really paid that much. However, the car failed to start again yesterday! Do these people deserve payment? I'm really pissed!

I have than 4 wire plug that will fit into the plug of the trailer, all I need to know is how to connect the break lights from truck to this wiring plug. it has four colors, black white green yellow. When I look at the wires running to the break lights on the truck I see green/yellow black/red then a very faded one which could have been red maybe then one that is all deffinatly black. I did try to clean the wires to see them better. I know I should take 2 wires per break light and connect each set of two to the plug. I know I have to shave off the insulation off of the proper wires to get the extra wire to run to the plug making a 3 way T. What I wana know is how do I figure out which wires to run? Some one today will get the best answer from me, I just need a thorough answer.
