I agree with taking the class, but it is more than $20. Closer to $80 but you use their bikes and in the end, you take the license test. Not sure what it costs to add a motorcycle endorsement, but after the initial time, it is just added when you renew your drivers license.

I don't know where you folks are at, but the MSF Basic Rider Course cost me $230 and about $6-$7 for the endorsement on my license.

It is easier to take the class first. It only costs about $20 and you won't have to take the test at the DMV. All you have to do then is pick up your license. I dont remember the fee for it, its not much.
