I'm buying a new 2007 car instead of the 08. It has 169 miles on it already- is this unusually high? Even though it has probably been at the dealership for at least 6 months or more? Could it be that this car was used by the dealership?

So heres my problem... my car broke down on the side of the road, so I pulled it into a neighborhood and parked it on the side of the road, till I can get it fixed/towed. 4 hrs later police department calls me and says I have one day to move it or they're gonna tow it. I need to replace my catalytic converter, so I got ac/dc converter, a dremel tool to saw the old one off, and everything I needed, BUT everytime I turn the dremel on my converter displays a red light and shuts its power off. the ac/dc con. puts out 125v, and the dremel takes 120v, my car battery is completely charged and the conv. is supplying enough power so whats wrong?

Been to a mechanic he said something about the low end rod and that it's a dealer part. Went to AutZone they never heard of it. I need help bad. Thanks everyone.

a guy brought in his 02 taurus the other day for a tune up and it was running like **** he said the engine over heated and then started running rough. right away i checked the coolant and it smells burnt i did a compression test and right away the first two cylinders i checked had 50 and 60 psi so i decided to tear the engine down when i got the heads off the gaskets showed no sighns of leakage the heads are straight but i did find that the valves are not sealing properly thats why i don't have good compression does any one know why the valves are not sealing am i missing something i always thought these were good engines and i am hearing that 00 and up are problems galore.

I've always loved the ocean, I dive and live right off the coast (Long Beach) and now it's time I get a first small boat that is trailable.

I'm a little torn between getting something like a Whaler or RIB inflatable or getting a small sailboat...

I'm looking to cruise around the harbor, looking for something inexpensive and something that can fit in my one car garage.
POSSIBLY taking a trip to Catalina on a nice day or even sleeping over night.. (the last two aren't as important)

Opinions? Recommendations? Boats??

Sometimes when I'm driving my car, it'll randomly cut off. ...Almost as if someone took the key out of the ignition. Once I stop the car and restart it, it'll drive fine for a while until it does the same thing again. Any ideas or possibilities as to why?

My car gets 22 street and 30 highway MPG. I drive a 1999 Nissan Altima. I was wondering how many miles can I go if I fill it up? How many miles can I go on a quarter tank of gas? Thanks for all your help.

Hi, I have a 99 Honda Accord, 85k miles, some gas in the tank and it won't start. I drove it last night fine, parked it, I'm pretty sure I didn't leave anything on because today the locks, lights and CD player work but the car won't start. When I turn the key, it clicks once, not the repeated sound that you usually hear when the battery is dead, but one click and then nothing.
I've got a road trip tomorrow, AAA can't come tonight except to tow and I'm looking for something that I might have missed.
I've already tried jumping it and I knocked the battery corrosion off the red knob. Any suggestions would help, thanks.

It come on for no rhyme or reason. Doesn't matter if it's raining, dry, I'm driving or stopped. Obviously the parking brake is not on at all. Nothing I do makes it go away or prevents it from turning on.

My scantool shows no codes even when the brake light is on.

Is this a bad sensor? Maybe a problem with the computer?

Should I take it to the dealer, or would an independent shop be able to diagnose and fix this?

I have a 2000 Silverado pickup. I live on a farm and it gets a lil dirty but not much, Its probably the cleanest farm truck you will ever see. I Wash it once a week. Wax it atleast every other week. I live in the midwest so there is snow in the winter and humidity in the summer. I use Meguiars wax and deep crystal car wash.
