I can not say this enough!!!
The 72 hours rule that everyone keeps talking about applies to in home sales. It does not apply when you go to a "normal place of business". It was designed to prevent people from being pressured into signing contracts just to get the salesman to leave their home. When you go to a place of business, you always have the option of walking out. You can not walk out of a sales situation in your own home.
When you take delivery of a vehicle, and drive it off the dealers lot, you own it!! The dealer is not required to take it back, and most likely will not. If he does, you will have to buy another vehicle from him, because he is not going to refund your money.

The "Federal Right to Rescission Law" doesn't apply here. it ONLY applies to in-home sales. eg: salesman comes to your door. Car sales are final. Nobody forced you to walk into that dealership, you could have left at anytime without buying a car and nobody had a gun to your head to force you to sign the paperwork. The car you drove off the lot has already lost some of its value and is no longer a new car. Enjoy your new car.

There is a federal Buyers Right to Recision law that states you have 72 hours to return any purchase you make should you change your mind. However, in most cases you will have to get an attorney to back you up, because a dealership isn't going to care. Usually they can deny you, and since you don't know about it, it is after 3 days before you realize, and it is then out of their hair.

Yes, you can, but the dealership can charge you a huge "restocking" fee, so it's better to shop around and make a good decision the first time, or it will cost you. From the Toyota dealership, it was over $2000.
