We've installed Doug's Headers on a few 5.3 Chevy pick-ups. They fit like a glove and the workmanship is outstanding. Early this year a company - Pertronik (ignition systems) purchased Doug's Headers. Supposedly they are still produced in the same shop here in the USA. We've installed a set since June but who's to know who owned the company when this set was built. They looked and fit as well as the ones we've seen in the past.

do no longer enable the 1st individual who responded your question discourage you. an entire exhaust up-grade alongside with a production facility legal Catalytic converter will purchase you a minumum of 5 hp. A cat back buys you no longer something. Headers are the place its at!

Not a whole lot of power without doing some other things. You will increase the sound level. You can get more power by tweaking the computer without touching anything else. If you do not like it, you can set it back to factory specs, without many mods.
