My Intrepid has been freaking out. It drives fine for awhile...and then out of nowhere, the radiator leaks, I lose all my water, and the engine overheats. I now keep three gallon jugs of water in my trunk for when the problem occurs (and it occurs with frequency).

It doesn't freak out with consistency...I may be able to drive it for a day or a week before it heats up again.

Also, perhaps on an unrelated note...I'm going through one or two bottles of power steering fluid per month. Any idea why?

I have a 2004 F-250 Diesel 4-Door Super Cab. For the first 6 months after we purchased it, the vehicle was getting 18mpg. Then all of a sudden the fuel mileage dropped to around 13mpg. I have gone back to the Dealer and have talked to Ford, but no one has been able to satisfactorily answer my question or provide me w/ a solution.

They just tell me that since Ford is not required to put the mileage rating on the sticker, there is no guarantee of a mileage range so basically it's tough luck.

I am trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this and if so, have they found a solution? I have tried a SuperChips re-programmer and it helped a little, but it still is not near what it was initially.

I was headed to grab lunch and went through an intersection on a green light, some *** ran the redlight smashing into me. He was very nice at the time of the accident and because he was an 'older' man, I did not want to make the situation even worse, so I didn't reinforce the fact that he ran the red light and not me. We exchanged info and he gave me his insurance info and business card. He said, "If you have any problems with anything, give me a call."

Well, when I called his insurance about 30 min later, he had already called and told them I ran the red light. Long story short, I am stuck with the bill for my car ($4000+ ) and he walked away with barely a scratch on his truck! Oh, and by the way... he is a defense attorney and owns his own firm... so what can I legally do in a situation like this??

I have recently changed the coolant in my peugeot 406 after series of overheating issues due to the radiator cap being damaged.I done the mixture 50/50 as adviced but the temperature of the car seems to be between 90 and 110 degrees cent. which i think is still quite high and since then the heating in the car seems to be cool rather than warm.after reading various related answers on here.i believe its got something to do with air trapped in the cooling system and apparently need to bleed it somehow.anyone knows how best to do this. Also, after allowing the car cool off for bout hour and half.i opened up the radiator cap and the coolant came pouring out.any ideas or suggestions

i have a hyundai elantra 2002 that i wrecked last saturday. (well, it wasn't even a wreck...it was wet and i slid off the road into woods/ditch area.) i was not going over 30 mph. the repair shop it is at now does not know for sure, but they think the frame is bent. they haven't measured it or anything though. someone will be out tomorrow to look at it. i've heard different things such as you can't bend your frame going that slow...or my car is a "unibody" which means there isn't a frame to be bent. etc...my question is should i get a second opinion?

I recently aquired a boat with a Johnson 1969 20hp motor and have no idea what the fuel mix ratio is. I want to be sure before I start it and there are no manuals that came with it. Is it 50:1?

Ok, here is the story. At 26k I changed the tires on my car. I did not buy the tires from Honda, but I did buy original stock tires. The tire tread on the set I changed was uneven, so I took my car to Honda to get my car aligned. This was about 2 years ago so the details are a bit fuzzy, but when I took the car to get aligned they told me that the tires were put on wrong. Anyways, they told me they would put the tires on correctly but I can't remember if they charged me for that.

I ALWAYS take my car to the same honda dealership to get serviced, and I have had 4-5 services since then and have not been told anything about the tires on my car except that the tires were wearing well. Tires on a S2000 can't be rotated but now they are telling me that my front tires are too small and are pointing int he wrong direction. What should I do?

Today I took it to get serviced and I get a call that my tires are pointed in the wrong direction, and that the front are too small.

I have a 93 Toyota T100 4x4 truck. and it has lately for the past few months had difficulty going into gear, especially 1st gear and reverse. When I try to put it into reverse there is a grinding noise most of the time, and first just is sometimes a bit of a struggle, but not too bad.

I was told that it is not my clutch, but it is due to a bearing going out in my transmission or the synchronisers.

I was told also that it would be more expensive to repair this than it would be to buy a used transmission to replace it with and that it would be better to just drive it for as long as I could put it into gear while I looked for a cheap used transmission.

But my question is, how long could it go?

It is going to last more than likely a lot longer than if the clutch was going out , you think?

I was told it could maybe be driveable even for another year or more, but just be aggravating.

What is your opinion?? Why??

Thanks!~!

I think its a turbo system
2 tubes makes the exhausts gas goes back too the cylinder and piston
Making it run like a 2 stroke engine but with less petrol use.

I think something spilled on the floor in my backseat but I'm not for sure. I've vacummed it out and it is still damp. It has been super hot outside and still hasn't dried completely. Any ideas what could be wrong? But my car has been running just fine.
