looking for info on surveying ships for H&M and P&I claims

if you want to do hull & machinary and P&I work, check with the local ship agents in your area as well as any owners/operators. Lawyers usually dole out the P&I work, and believe me, yuo can have it!

It may also be a good idea to join the local propeller club for networking - most surveying work is gained by networking, and doing a good job too, of course!

if you look up marine surveyors on google etc and find one in your area. you will have to find one that specialises in that sort of thing.hope this helps.
