Our non-branded gas station had 7 owners in 5 years. The current lease ends Sept. 30th. So, we'll own & run it.
The facts: It's been poorly run / closed for long periods of time. Our fuel price is .04 cents less then Mobil. The store shelves are empty, we can fill them with whatever we want to sell. They don't have lottery, atm, air (for tires). The road, busiest in the city. Our corner has a long stop light. The current hours, 5am-11pm every day. The manager is committted to stay on. They sell 60,000 gallons of fuel monthly. Inside sales under $300.00 daily.

We've just received our occupency permit & licenses from the state. We've got a good long term contract for fuel pre-paid $30,000 and EFT going foward. We were approved for 7 day Beer/ Wine license and ordered an ATM.

Now, how do we get these cars off this busy road and onto our property? How should we market to the surrounding community? What can we do? "Under New Management" sign is still there from 2 owners ago... HELP

P0601 (M) Internal Controller Failure Internal control module fault condition (check sum) detected. What does this mean? I just had the computer replaced last week, and in the last month I've had the transmission, radiator, starter, and a head gasket replaced too. Please, no comments about getting rid of the POS. I'm trying to.

From the description, it sounds like a computer problem, but I just had a new one put in... Maybe it was faulty? Do they put rebuilt computers in or new ones?

The 2.8L engine idles find w/ no missfire at all, spark and fuel pressure test good. TPS sensor V reading @ KOEO throttle closed reads 0.7v and climbs smoothly to 4.7v when opening throttle. Like I said this eng. will idle smooth and remain that way until I bring it up to about 2,800 RPM then it starts Stumbling like it is loading up and if I contenue to try raising the RPM it will fall flat on its face and die. After which it will not re-start unless I push the gas pedel all the way down (WOT).

If anyone has any knowledge of what else I should check or look for it sure would be very helpfull because I'm lost as to where to go from here. Other than take it to a shop.

Thanks in advance,
hyghwayman

1.6L/L4 engine. 2bbl carb. Have this problem very frequently but not always. Also will idle somewhat erratically from time to time. Have new dist. cap/rotor-plugs and wires. No help there. I don't have a shop manual for this car so I'm not sure where to locate the engine scan plug. Any suggestions on what next to try?

I have a 2000 Chevy S10 with 99200 miles. The battery was replaced about a year ago. The transmission was replaced 9 months ago. The alternator is probably being replaced tomorrow. I'd say I've done a reasonable but not exceptional job of maintenance in the six years I've had it. There's a slow oil leak of undetermined origin and a small coolant leak. I keep an eye on both levels and add fluid as necessary. The gas gauge stops being accurate below half tank. It cranks longer when fuel is below half a tank.

The only positives in my mind are that it's paid off, it runs and you can't beat the cargo space.

All that to ask: what are chances that I can get another year out of it without paying for a major (over $200) repair?

I had one put in by Jiffy Lube two oil changes ago. It was fine for months (5000 miles). Then I had someone else change the oil. He said that these plugs are only good for about 5 changes, then I need a new oil pan. But since he changed it, I have spots on my driveway. Could it be he didn't tighten it enough, for fear of breaking something?
Also, I haven't actually seen this plug. Is it a thread inside a thread or is it just one self tapping thread that gets reseated each time? I dont have ramps to drive up on . Honda Accord 2001.

I currently dont have a torque wrench but need to use my bike this week, which is before i can get a torque wrench..
So, when coming to put my clutch back on i found in the manual the torque settings for the 5 bolts, Now, this is what it says..

"tighten to a final torque setting of 0.3 - 0.5 kgf m (2.0 - 3.5 lbf ft)"

Now i have no idea what that really means, in the sense of how much to tighten it without the wrench, but does anyone know how i can tighten to this torque for the clutch spring bolts to be secured safely?

Thanks.

Our roads are measured in miles but somehow we have been conned into using litres at the pumps. You now need a calculator to work out what your car is doing !

Alright well ive had starting problems for about a year now but it never really bothered me because I always got it started around my third try. But now its taking a little longer but what is really bad is when i do get it started on rare occasions while i am backing out of my driveway the car shuts off completly but most of the time the car just shakes and until i really start going sometimes when i am pressing on the gas no gas is coming through. My check engine light is not on or anything but I would like to know what is wrong with my car before I take it in.
