Go to an auto parts store, and ask for a polishing compound. It is like a wax, but slightly abrasive. It will take a bit of your clear coat off, but there should be plenty left to protect your paint.

You need to wash bird poop off fast - hubby scratched his new car this week trying to get some off. Wet it well, leave for a few minutes, have a rub with a soapy sponge, wet again, rub again, etc etc until it goes. Patience is the clue here!

You just made my day! Try putting rubbing alcohol on it. Not too much, or your paint will flake off. Nah, maybe it isn't such a great idea.
