A friend bought a 1999 Saturn SL2 for $9K and Kelly Blue Book says it is worth $5K in excellent condition. The place advertises help establishing credit and help getting a car. The interest rate is 22% and the total will be over 15K after payments for 3 1/2 years. She just bought the car Saturday and Wednesday tried to take it back. They video taped her signing the contract! They said if she brought back the car if would go on her credit record and they would garnish her wages. She makes $7.78 per hour. How can she get out of this? Can she get out of this?

Riding to work this morning with my wife in her "98 Chevy Pickup. When she tried to turn on her wipers I heard a buzz behind the dash but the wipers didn't move. She turned the control on and off a few times and it made the same sound every time. On about the 4th or 5th try the wipers came on a worked fine the rest of the drive. Any ideas? I have a fair amount of mechanical ability but I rarely deal with electical issues and I've never worked on wipers. By the way, she had used the wipers earlier in the trip and they worked fine so I know this didn't happen because they were stuck.

What is the best kind of flowmasters to put on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 V8 5.9L? I don't want it to be loud in the cab of the truck. Just a good deep sound from the pipes. Please tell me what I should ask for when I go to the muffler shop? Thanks.

I'm not going to lie, this is my first brand new car. I've always run my car through car washes and never really taken the time to wash it myself.

The dealer said not to run it through a regular was for 30 days.

What am I going to need to ensure I wash my car without scratching it?

What are the best name-brand items?

I am thinking of getting a used Subaru. All of the ones in my price range have 60-80 thousand miles on them. Are Subarus good cars? Do they last and last? I only drive 6 miles per day but, I still want something reliable..what do you think?
I am considering something like a 2000 Legacy

-Thank You :-)

Is there anywhere in the UK where you can buy whistles that you can use in an emergency e.g. if you go out at night and you're assaulted? My colleagues from my workplace are going on a Christmas night out and I'd like to buy one of these whistles.

My wife was involved in a hit and run accident yesterday. She was making a left turn into a private driveway. She was in the center lane ( 1 lane in each direction, the center is for turning.)waiting for traffic to be clear. Another vehicle came head on toward her (driving in the center lane) at a high rate of speed. She was scared to death there were going to hit her head on! At the last second, the car swerved into oncoming traffic sideswiped her car and kept on going weaving in and out of traffic. They never slowed down. Nobody else around stopped. She was so shaken up, not able to identify car or drivers. We did not call police as we couldn't tell them anything. What would possess someone to behave in such a manner? Anyone ever experienced a similar situation.

Catalytic converter is starting to give me problems getting abit hot, and has been professionally pin pointed as the problem developing. Plus I want to know where to cut it out and in the front and back? What is the best pipe to use. Converters make vehicles run hotter and make more problems. California is the only emmissions state, and I don't live there.

I have a 1990 auto. camaro with a new 355(it was bored 30 over). The new engine has about 5k miles on it. The car is now burning about 1qt of oil a week. It seems like over time its just gotten worse. It does blow smoke out of the exhaust but not a whole lot. I had one of my friends tell me what color the smoke is when I hit the gas and he said a little of blue/black/and white but mostly black. But I always get different responses when I ask someone, but most the time they will say black or blue. Every time I've looked at the exhaust its black, and occasionally a little blue. I am not loosing any coolant, at least not according to my overflow resivoir. I recenly put a new intake manifold, and carb on it and didn't know exactly what I was doing but didn't have a choice(don't have the $ for mechanic), so for about 2 weeks my engine would get close to 230 because it was lean, thats fix now and running at 205. How do i know if I blew a head gasket? could my unplugged pcv valve be the prob?
