I know that it is either the grand am or grand prix but anybody know which and if so what style?

Ok. So I drove about 200 miles to cedar pointe and back in an 93 grand am with 168k miles on it. I got about 5 miles away from cedar pointe and a low coolant light came on. So i filled it with coolant and the light stayed on. But it stoped overheating. On the wayt back i had to keep fillling with coolant to stop with from over heating. I took it to the shop and a gasket blown and now the car won't even turn on because the water is mixing with the oil anbd making it really milky like.The coolant was leaking out through the head gasket. THe car won't turn on but I recently just bought new struts serepentine belt and alternator so there is some new stuff in the car. DO you think i could sell this car to anyone ? im 17. and i was out and decided to go over the speed limit. alot. and i got pulled over. the officer game me a ticket for $290 owch. i live in MASS and was wondering if my license will be taken away for a certain number of days or something. it is my 1st offence. should i just pay the ticket and see if i get my license taken away? or appeal? if i appeal... what the hell do i say? my dad is gonna kill me.

i am going to my first year of college this year. the college is 17 miles away so i will be driving there for my classes. i want to either buy a radar detector so that i may avoid a few speeding tickets or a gps system for when i travel i wont get lost. i can only afford one butim not sure what to choose please help me.

i am a slow driver.most of the time i drive speed limit and be on the right lane and at some time i go above like 5-15 mph and be in a center lane.but then also people tend to misbehave so much which makes me angry.they dont want to pass on left lane and try to to do all horrible stuff on rite which will obviously have frequent stops.i always keep time for myself and always follow the rules cause i dont need a ticket. people have passed me in single lane road or in residential area for being the speed limit obeyer.i dont mind if they do on multi lane roads.they blow horns,spoil their faces as if they killed someone and TAILGATE,which i find funny ,feel they almost want to flirt with u.i know its a fast moving world but common u got to be organised and have time for everything.i mean i believe everything takes time and even driving somewhere.imagine a child just cannot grow directly from 6 yrs to 10 yrs by speeding.maybe its my weird thinking.am i wrong?i am talking about central nj.

The car is a 2004 chrysler pacifica, so yes fuel injected. Is the synthetic oil worth it? I live in michigan so winters can get quite cold even into negative temps, and over 100 in summer.

I took a bulb in the tail light compartment out but don't know if it's the right one to replace, I have taken out the bulb with the label on it: 12V W5W E1... is this the correct one to replace since my brake light is out?

Somewhere I read a technique where on the highway you can tailgate large trucks, and go neutral or something, letting the air flow push you along, saving gas. Is this true? How close do you have to follow? Any sources would be great.

I want to know how the energy from the piston turns the crankshaft. The connecting rod is not directly connected to the crank, there is a gap of a few 1000ths filled with oil. So why doesn't the rod just slip uselessly on the crank? Wouldn't a direct connection instead of the slipping connection produce more power?

I went into Pep Boys to get my front rotors and brake pads replaced. (the rear brakes were done about a year before by a different company) They told me they also adjusted the rear wheels. After driving a mile or so I always smell smoke coming from the left rear wheel. None of the other wheels smell like smoke. This problem wasn't happening before I visited Pep Boys.

What could it be? The mechanic I called said it was normal and to just drive it awhile. I got ceramic brakes for the front by the way. Could the mechanic have sabotaged me so I'd have to pay them more later? All that cost me $220. Can't afford much more.

My van's a 2000 dodge caravan. Please help. Thank you.

Ok im looking at this car its seem alright except it doesnt go into 2nd gear..when he says that does that mean reverse or the #2 that on the gear thing..lol..i know this may be a stupid question but i dont know much about cars....heres the car descrtion Second gear does not work. The car shifts from first to third then to over drive. Also the air does not blow cold and the driver door dose not lock..does that seem ok exexct the lock part?? what you think..will it still run?Oh yea its a contour

Recently got four new tires and just noticed that the tread pattern on the driver side sort of points forward while the tread pattern on the passenger side seems to point backward. I looked closely at the tires and saw the word "outside" on all four tires, so I assume they were mounted correctly.

Do some tires with "directional" treads come in both driver side and passenger side models?

Asking here before I call the tire place - if I'm right that something's wrong, I'd rather know before I call them.
