Could be a loose heat shield on the catalytic converter. depends where the noise is from.

OMG quit driving! Buy your own car! Coasting at 12 to 15 miles an hour rattle is just what your room mate wanted you to fix for him.

was this happening before you borrowed the car? If not, you're going to be blamed for it. a rattling noise could be ANYTHING!

when i took the car back id make sure i told him about this,chances are he already knows about it,this could be an idler pulley bad for the belt drive,but make sure you bring this to his attention,good luck with it.

you are going to have to fix that thing now.
because he going to catch amnesia and tell you it wasn't rattling when he gave it to you

It's probably crappy hub caps rattling.
