I can agree with you, to an extent. Now, if you are on a 2 lane highway in a 50 mph zone doing 20, well that might irk me a bit too. But that does not seem to be the case here.
In the past, I have often brought up the question of "why is everyone in such a g****amn hurry" all of the time? If I am not pressed for time, I drive casually, take my time, and just enjoy the ride, and my music, which is usually blaring. Unfortunately, most it seems, feel that they must do 20 mph or more over the speedlimit at all times, regardless of where they are going (even if only a few miles across town), or any time constraints, whether real or imaginary.
It really irritates me when on the highway when some jackass starts riding my tailgate when I am already doing 5 or more mph above the speed limit. I usually just slow down to a crawl, until they have to pass me. By this time they are absolutely fuming, flipping birds, screaming, etc. I just smile. I derive great pleasure from that... ;-) Something else that pisses me off is those folks who feel that they just must be ahead of you on the highway. They get there, and then slow down to your original speed, or less.
There are just a lot of dumbasses on this planet dude; that's the only way that I can explain it.... ;-)

If your obeying the speed limit your not a slow driver. This nonsense of keeping up with the flow of traffic is just B.S. Just because everyone else thinks there above the law doesn't mean you have to be a member of the stupid flock. If the cops are handing out tickets, your speeding plain and simple and deserve what ever ticket you get.If you really want to see stupid people paying no attention to the traffic laws go to the Southwest.it has N.J. beat by miles. I know because I lived in N.J. Now in N.M.. What a mistake that was.

I agree, it is a fast world. Everybody is in a hurry. I try to do the limit and maybe a little more. I also stay in the right lane, unless I'm passing someone. When someone tail gates me, I'll slow down even more just to iritate them. There is also a safety factor there too. It they are that close, then I need more time to stop so that I can give them more time to stop without hitting me. When they back off, then I'll speed up a little. After a while they get the idea.
good luck.

Here's the deal. If you are driving the speed limit, you are not, I repeat, not a slow driver. You are obeying the laws that have been put in place for the safety of everyone. You are angering those who believe they have some constitutional right to go faster than everyone else.

most people are truly upset by the hypocrisy in our culture..
we are told to "obey the law", but we are sold cars that go 200mph... My car's speed limiter governs it to 155... If the government really wanted to stop speeders, then cars would be limited to 70mph...
What the government SHOULD do, is to treat marijuana and prostitution the way they treat speeding... No jail time, just a heavy fine.... That would solve the tax problem really quick.
If i'm late to a meeting for work, i get fired.. they don't care if i speed... As long as i rush, i know i did my best... even if i get fired.
The fish stinks from the head back... don't hate the players, hate the game.

I usually drive right at the speed limit if I don't want to go faster. I ignore everyone else. If they're in a hurry it's their problem, they can get into an accident.

I have wondered that, too, so I like to enjoy the trip, not break the land speed record getting there. It makes you wonder what they will do with the extra 15 seconds they'll save, doesn't it?

sounds to me that although you have good intentions, you also have an attitude that demonstrates like it or not.. this is the way I drive.. ok so you drive the limit, I commend you for that, but if you purposfully drive slow and refuse to pull over so others can pass then perhaps you are also a little out of line.. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect you to kindly pull over so that you are not purposefully blocking other drivers. If you are purposefully showing them that you are not about to move over..then I think you are helping to create a possible accident situation.. I agree..others should be more sensible..but I also think that as a matter of courtesy.. it is good to let the others move on by..safely.. good luck

Slow drivers I can handle, but I can't tolerate stupid drivers or those who can't plan ahead.
