I was checking my lights this evening cos my car is going through MOT on tuesday. My tail lights aren't working - the brake lights come on instead - why??? have my tail light bulbs gone or has the fuse gone???

Ok, Im just going to name all the little things I have problems with.

1. My trunk- I cant get it to open because the lock looks jammed on the inside or something. Plus, the trunk release is busted on the inside.

2. My cd player- It wont work. When I tried to put a cd in, it read ERR. I used a cd cleaning system. Didnt work.

3. Back speakers- I just found out that there are 2 wires on each speaker that are not connected to anything. Plus, I discovered a wire laying on the floor that has two wires on each side. I never had rear speakers, just the ones in the front on the doors.

4. My 12V outlet- It doesnt work. Possibly needs a fuse?

5. My low-beam headlights- They dont work. Bought new lights for them- that didnt work.

6. My daytime running lights- dont work anymore. Possibly has to do with the low beams?

7. Heating system in the winter doesnt really work well. I will leave the car to warm up for a few min, then as I accelerate and get on the thruway, it gets cold again.

I have a 2000 nissan quest minivan and I turned it off and tried to start it and it has plenty of battery but wont turn over. Could it be a fuel problem or am I barking up the wrong tree. PLEASE HELP !!! Does anyone know about these vans or these problems and to where I can find the fuel pump on this van?

When I run my car and turn it off it won't start back up til the engine cools. I put a new crank shaft censor on it and it still does the same thing. Sometimes it stops in the middle of the road. Could it be a problem w/ the computer box?Nobody knows what's wrong. HELP!!!!!!!

My wrangler once in awhile stalls when i turn it on. I start it back up and it doesnt want to run. I have to keep my foot on the gas for it not to stall. Then the check engine light comes on. After i warm it up, and start driving it, it doesnt want to run for a couple minutes(not too much power), then it starts running fine down the road. But the check engine light will still be on. Then the next day, i wont have any trouble and the light will be off. I had it hooked up to a code machine today and the code came out to be P0108 which is a map sensor or baro sensor circuit too high. Can that really be what is causing this problem? I thought it would be a fuel filter or fuel pump, but i guess those machines cant pick up on that. Ive read where other people have problems with there crankshaft positioning sensor. Could it be that? I have a automatic 6 cylinder.

The transmission on my 2007 Ford Escape has gone out and will need to be "overhauled" or replaced (per the guy at the dealership).

How will this activity affect the value of my car?

Do I have any recourse against the dealership?

Maybe this is fate stepping in as I've taken a new job out of town and my car decides it's going to poop out. Here are the symptoms:

1) In the morning - fine until around noon
2) Around noon it starts to idle bad and shake - the engine temp is usually between warm and cool.
3) Around seven, when the sun goes down, it starts acting normal again.

I at first thought it was the heat, but because it's starting to cool down during the day, I'm less likely to believe that's the case (today it's only 88 degrees, the same temp I drove it around normally at yesterday evening)

When the car acts up, I get the following error codes:
12 Battery or computer recently disconnected recently disconnected
27 Injector circuit isn't switching when it's told to (TBI)
OR (MPI) injector circuit #1 not switching right
OR (turbo) injector circuit #2 not switching right
OR (all 1990-) injector output driver not responding
- check computer, connections (I get this error twice)

I was driving along and my car hit a big manhole cover that was raised off the ground a bit...My car is now not driveable...The gasket and pan have a big hole in it cuz of this...When i put transmission fluid in, it comes pouring out..I am taking it in tomorrow to have this fixed...roughly how much will this cost me and can i sue the city and get my $$ back for fixing the car???

The 90 4.3ltr V6 has throttle body FI. The 87 S10 previously had FI. I purchased 87 S10 modified with carburated 350.

I have a mid 80's 8 hp johnson outboard and there is this little button that is part of the kill button on the end of the steering /control arm that is threaded to screw in and out. Is this a throttle tension thing cause it doesn't seem to work properly to hold the engine speed. If so then one should throttle up to the desired speed then tighten the button, right? If anyone can help

I have a vintage 1977 Honda XL175 that has been garage kept, with low mileage. The bike has been worked on and maintained over the years though. I started it up within the last couple of weeks, and it was running fine until the other day. The problem I'm having is that it starts up, but quickly looses acceleration then the engine cuts off. It also burps, and has a strange inner rumple while it is running also. It seems as if it is not getting any gas or the motor is flooded, I’m not sure which one. I've done an oil change, and have checked the spark plug. Does anyone have any suggestion to what is wrong with it?
