When I run my car and turn it off it won't start back up til the engine cools. I put a new crank shaft censor on it and it still does the same thing. Sometimes it stops in the middle of the road. Could it be a problem w/ the computer box?Nobody knows what's wrong. HELP!!!!!!!

If your engine is turning over & over, but not actually starting, then I'd suspect that your car may be have some vapor locking going on. This is when the fuel in the fuel line gets too hot and turns to a vapor/gas instead of staying in a liquid form. This prevents the engine from actually starting until it cools down and turns back to a liquid again. This can happen from a weak/worn-out fuel pump that isn't keeping the proper pressure, worn-out or defective pressure regulator, or a fuel line that is too close to the engine and needs to be moved or better insulated from the engine's heat.

If, however, your car is not turning over when you try to start it, then you may well have a problem with your starter or starter solenoid. You should also check your battery terminal connectors for any corrosion and proper tightness.

Best of luck.

Do not keep throwing parts in there! Find the cause of the problem.

The only way to find the problem is with the right tools, forget about the guessing game!

If you have access to an engine analyser or scope observe the engine signals: crank, cam, ignition trigger, fuel injector, fuel pump, etc when the problem is happenig.

Most of this tools are very expensive and only available at good repair shops. So better take it to someone that can fix it.

Dont waste money on any thing, you better take it to a qualified workshop, they will scan through computer hence the actual fault will straightaway come on the screen. It is not that expensive what you think, at least you will save a lot of time and money just by changing odd parts for nothing. Go to a reputable garage to have peace of mind.
