In the warmer times of the year, disconnect the negative battery cable. In the coldest months of the year, pull the battery and store it in a warm area (back porch, garage, etc.) Set the battery on a piece of wood to keep it off your concrete floor (small piece of 1 x 8, or 2x6) so as to prevent the battery being drained. I don't know how the concrete drains the juice from the battery, I just know it does.

A battery tender will keep the battery at a full charge. The battery tender is eazy to install and can be found in most motorcycle shops. The tender uses a low charge rate and shuts off when the battery is fully charged.cost around 50 dollars and will last a real long time.Hope this helps.

Yes, you can keep up that battery. Invest in an inexpensive charger called a Float Charger. This type of charger will maintain the battery without drying it out by over-charging it.
