I've decided that these are the best crossovers I've seen. The Mazda CX-9 has won 2 comparison tests so far, and the Hyundai Veracruz has won a head to head test with a Lexus RX350 which looked pretty tough. If they're in a head to head test ( which is the CX-9 & Veracruz ) who would you vote or think would win, the Mazda CX-9 or the Hyundai Veracruz ?

I would like to know how the process of buying from an auction works; do you have to be a car dealer to participate in an auction? how can you be sure the car is mechanically sound? How can you determine what a good price to pay for the car is?

I have a rather new timing light and know how to use it on my Toyota Truck, but never understood what the Advance dial is used for. I just leave it on 0, when using it.

I'm having a sudden issue with my '84 240 DL Wagon (215,000 miles). I purchased it 2 months ago and it's been running wonderfully.

Yesterday afternoon, out of the blue, it had trouble kicking over. Once it did, the idle was erratic and shook the car. I was able to rev it--and while revved, it felt and sounded normal. However, if I try to move the car at all in a low gear, or at idle, it stalls out.

There were no abnormal "symptoms" leading up to this--the car was running very well.

We did hit a pretty deep pothole a few days before the problem surfaced.

I've checked everything I could think of (even added gas in case the gas gauge had broken) and I'm stuck. Obviously I didn't check the right thing.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

wondering if there are any common front end problems in Jeep cherokees, its a 99. Once we hit 50 the car will shake a little until we hit 60 then its normally fine.... but if we hit a bump before then or turn a little then the car shakes really bad, like were driving through tons of pot holes. only way to stop the shaking is to slow down or stop. Was wondering if anyone had a diagnosis before we took it in, just to see how much you think it will cost. Thanks!

I was pulling out of a drive thru window and didn't even see the darn curb. Felt like we were crossing the dang Grand Canyon!
We were coming home from the beach and the car did fine all the way home. Looked underneath and didn't see any damage, but what do I know? Should I take it in to get it checked? It's a 2007 Toyota Camry.

I am driving through the continent to visit Italy by car this week from the UK. I have read that it is the law in Italy that motorsts have to carry all sorts of things with them in their cars: spare lightbulbs, red triangles, first aid kid, headlamp adjusters and even a luminous vest for each occupant of the car! The list of this junk is endless... and it is SO expensive to buy! More expensive than the ferry ticket by far!

It all this stuff really necessary, does anyone over there actually have any of it, and what happens if you don't have it? Is this just an excuse for bored policemen to pull over foreign cars and fine the drivers??

I just got my truck back from the dealer and had new brakes and all four tires replaced plus axle seals. Now I have vibration. Could it be the tires must wear down some? Also had a front end alignment and that did not help.

I recently had my 1987 Mariner 115 HP in the shop. While the mechanic was trying to solve the problem,(bad rev limiter) he checked the compression. On the top 3 cylinders he said I have 114. On the bottom cylinder I am at 100. Is that getting low? Should I be worried? Or thinking of selling?

I have a 95 sunfire. Somethimes I get a loud vibrating noise when driving. but not always. the best way I can describe it, kinda sounds like a big fan. But if I turn the wheel slightly right it stops completely. Of course my car beings to drifting right so I can't hold it in that position. The sound, sounds like it is coming from the engine area. I had the tires replaced and balanced, but I still have the same problem. Plz help I'm getting tired of this noise.
