astra 1.6 1996 why does my fan belt keep slipping of the tensioner any help please

The tensioner shaft is worn and letting the pulley ride a little cocked. It's a cheap and common item to replace.

It may be an alignment problem. Check to make sure all of the pulleys line up straight.

it could be bad bearings in the tensioner or some other component is loose or out of alignment
