I'VE GOT AN OLD SCHOOL SUZUKI GS850, AND I GOT A CHOPPER SEAT OFF OF THE INTERNET AND IT NEEDS TOBE RECOVERED. I WAS TOLD ABOUT $200 BUCKS AND I SAID NO WAY. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? OR SHOW ME A SIGHT THAT CAN.

i had some holes on my seat where a cat jumped on it with his claws out. i took it to a car ulpostery place and the guy did a great job. it was 100 dollars but it looks like a new one.

The easiest way is to buy a replacement that you install; most of the seat on older bikes I've worked on had metal prongs that locked the vinyl in place. Some use a chrome strip or small screws. Below is a company that makes replacement covers for a fairly wide assortment of bikes. If yours is still mostly together you could use it as a template to make a new one, then it would just be material costs and your time. Good luck

If you know someone who sews or who is a seamstress, they can take the old over apart to make a pattern. Get marine grade vinyl for the new cover.

any good upholsterer should be able to recover your seat, I think you just need to check around some local shops for someone who can do it cheaper than 200.00
