Hi all,
I just came out of an ordeal with the local BMW dealer and local Goodyear shop. BMW said rims bent, Goodyear said tires "cupped". I ended up following both their advices and bought 4 used/excellent condition BMW stock 7 spoke rims (new BMW rims are WAY expensive) and new Michelin Harmony tires all around. I have a 1999 BMW 323i, 95k miles. Thanks to the Goodyear tire shop, I had to buy a breaker bar to loosen the lug nuts. They were tighted to over 300 lb-ft. My 300 lb-ft impact wrench didn't budge them. This made my steering shake when braking. In other words, it warped by disc brakes. Retorqued to 74 lb-ft and by-by steering shake. But, now I'm noticing a rotational noise that speeds up as I go faster. And I think I feel some vibration, increasing with speed. Replaced the control arms at BMW last year. Anyone have an idea what it could be? If it's the wheel bearings, it wouldn't be a rotational noise but a constant roar, right? Help. I don't want to go to the cleaners again. I'm already over budget on car repairs for the year. And, I enjoy figuring things out and fixing on my own.

After making it in the garage-- Unable to start- replaced Starter and Silinoid- Battery shows complete charge and relay is good as well as All noticeable fuses. I have been unablt to locate an in-line fuse on the starter(itself) Alternator is getting power as well- any troubleshooting Idea?

I was thinking about getting a 1998-2000 Ford Crown Victoria. I know police use these cars but are they really good cars because I here they are strong and sturdy but I also hear Ford has a history of always breaking down. I would like to hear the pros and cons of a Ford Crown victoria and a little history about Ford cars. Thank You

It doesn't seem to be listed in the Owner's Manual. I see back-up lights, headlights, interior lights, etc. But nothing referencing tail lights or brake lights.

Why is parallel parking still part of the Michigan drivers license test when you hardly ever have to parallel park anymore?

this is kind of a dumb question. i need to take the side cover off my moped to replace the starter shaft. (the tip that sticks out snapped off!) i dont know if i need a special drill or what to get in there because the screws are on tight. i dont know much about tools, but im not dumb. so if you tell me what i need i might know what youre talking about.

i drive a 4runner and i accidentally put the wrong gas and i drove not the far either but then i started to notice that there was something wrong. i wasen't going fast when i pressed on the gas so i obviously pulled over to the curb so i pulled into a neighborhood and i called my friends dad and he helped me. he put in more gas because he said that was the only thing that he could do. but later on i put in more gas (i didn't use the 4runner, i used my moms car). by doing that, will that dilute the diesal in my car?

By worst I mean worst design and/or dynamics. I do NOT mean poor reliability and headaches.

91-95 Acura Legend. Virtually nothing was properly executed on this car. Worst steering, brakes, tranny, seats, stereo, you name it.

The computer gives a code for MAF sensor, but I have replaced it. I unplugged it while it was running and it ran worse. I know its getting to rich a fuel mixture but I dont know why. I replaced the temp sensors, fuel pressure regulator, checked all vacuum (which the vac line to the egr had no vac, but i routed some to it and it ran worse), replace maf and tps. Is it possible that it is the computer? I do have an exhaust leak between head and manifold. I mechanic said that the o2 sensor would not cause it, and that an exhaust leak wouldnt cause it to run rich.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
