The vibration could cause further damage to your seals and in turn get water in your lower unit and I don't beleive you want to replace one of those. Get the prop rebuilt. it only takes a week in most places. take it in on monday and get it back on friday.

Get it fixed or replaced. If you are running in shallow or unfamiliar waters I would suggest that you get an aluminum prop vs. a stainless prop for the simple reason that the aluminum prop "will" break or chip if you hit something. The stainless prop is much harder so instead of breaking the prop you end up riping the lower unit out which is a lot more expensive than a prop. I also recommend caring a spare prop, If you get a spare prop you might get a different pitch just to try it out and see how your boat reacts to the new pitch.

definately fix it. the seals in your lower unit will leak and that can cause lots of expensive repairs fast. ps.If you are only hitting sand or a soft bottom (no rocks) by all means get a stainless prop. they are tougher in the sand. the popular advice that a stainless prop will damage your gearcase faster is FALSE the rubber hub still slips and will protect your lower unit. This is especially true for sand bars. I have boated on a very rocky lake and have repaired boats for 25+ years and I hate the generic "stainless will wreck your motor"- statement. the main disadvantage of a stainless prop is shifter dog wear from the extra inertia when shifting repetatively without pausing in neutral. look at it like this if you had a stainless prop, a bronze prop, and an aluminum prop with a soft shearpin wouldnt the shear pin dictate how much force would be transmitted to the gearcase? this is the same for the rubber hub. I have had one on the service boat for years and it gets lots of abuse and I have never wrecked the gearcase!!

I would take the prop off and send it to the prop shop to get it fixed. If you keep running in this condition you can screw up your bearings. Not to mention you may have already screwed up the gears. I ran thru shallow water and just kicked up some swamp mud. The result a few trips later was rebuilding my lower unit. It had chipped a tooth on my forward gear and ended up getting caught in between the pinion and forward gears. Not to say yours is, but it's worth getting it checked out. It's a lonely feeling when you can't go anywhere out on the water. Good luck, I hope you make the right decision.

the im-balance of the prop will wallow the drive shaft ---- fix it now and consider the mistake a learning point ----- for a while you should run the boat with the motor un-locked from the stern bracket -- that means when you put the motor in reverse the lower leg will pull itself out of the water ( so you want to bump it into reverse and idle ONLY .... ))) read the phone book or call a marine dealer and ask the parts dude to tell you about the guy that can fix your bent prop and happy boating .......and you can e-mail me if you have any more boat questions ...

Operating boat with prop in this condition is certainly not recommended. Get the prop fixed or replaced first.

NO, if the prop is out of balance you will knacker your gearbox bearings.get a new prop, if your engine is not a power trim model release the tilt mechanism next time your out , but remember to lock it when reversing.take your time in shallow water.

Your damaged prop will be out of balance and will wear out the bearing very quickly, then you will have much more expense.

At least get it checked, it might be minor but, you don't know ! Congratulations on hitting the bottom, WAY TO GO ! now you are in the Elite group with the rest of us, of course if you ask ANY boater if he has ever hit bottom, he'll tell you "OH NO, NOT ME" !
