Your mother could lose her license and you could be barred from having a license until you are 18. Your mother would also probably get referred to child protective services for neglect and wreckless endangerment. She would also probably lose her insurance. She would become a high risk for insurers. Is she mentally impaired? Why would she put you and herself in such an unnecessary legal position? Her ability to parent should certainly be brought into question. If you should have an accident, it is doubtful that the insurance will even cover it. Your parents could very well lose everything that they have in life.

It will depend on your jurisdiction. At the least a fine and possible suspension to your ability to get a permit.
However, the biggest risk however is your insurance. When a 16 year old wth a permit is driving with a licensed adult, they do so under the insurance coverage of that adult. If you were in an accident the insurance company would flat out refuse to honour any sort of insurance settlement that resulted from your accident - be it your fault or not. So not only are you risking a fine and suspension, but your families financial security. God forbid anything serious happens with you behind the wheel. Not just to you and your family, but whoever else you might affect in an incident.
Go drive a go-cart. A golf-cart. Practice in an empty parking lot if you must. Just stay off the roads.

You could be ticketed for driving without a license. And if you get into an accident, and someone else is hurt, you could be arrested. Do yourself a favor, go get your permit.

Well number one that is illegal driving. You would to pay a fine or by imprisonment in your country jail for no more than three months. Truly it depends on where you live, but it is obviously not a wise choice in judgement even if you are with an adult or guardian.

To lori you listen, the officer can have the car impounded. If you are on a driving range (most high schools have these) the officer should not bother you. However on normal roads, there is the likely hood of problems. Please wait until you have your permit.

Your mother could get into a LOT of trouble. If the DA feels like it, they could take your mother's license away. AND if the DA is in a really crappy mood, he could file charges against your mother for endangering you and the people around you for letting you drive. My advice... get a permit.

They would ticket your mother and you wouldn't get a license until you were 18, also a ticket for driving without a license.
