i drive a 4runner and i accidentally put the wrong gas and i drove not the far either but then i started to notice that there was something wrong. i wasen't going fast when i pressed on the gas so i obviously pulled over to the curb so i pulled into a neighborhood and i called my friends dad and he helped me. he put in more gas because he said that was the only thing that he could do. but later on i put in more gas (i didn't use the 4runner, i used my moms car). by doing that, will that dilute the diesal in my car?

I'd have someone drain the tank, and refill it with just gas. It might run with the gasoline/diesel oil mixture, but it surely can't be good for the car. Which means you'll lose the money for the fuel, plus the labor for the work. That'll add up to about $75-150, depending on how long it takes, how much fuel is in it, etc. That's a cheap lesson - if you did any damage to the engine or emissions system, it'll cost you maybe 5-10 times that amount.

Im quite familiar with this one having worked at a car rental. Best case scenario, get your vehicle's fuel tank drained, put fresh gas in and after some smokey idling all is ok. Worst case scenario, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, spark plugs and catalytic converters. Good luck.

In the old days you would be fine but today driving with that much diesel can damage the catalytic converter, it probably wont hurt the engine, but check out the price of the cat and you will find that draining the tank is by far your cheapest option.

yea...
if its a big problem unplug the fuel lines that go to the intake and point them into a gas container. have a lager container ready. shouldn't take long for it to purge out- then add a little more than a gallon to get it started again and so to a gas station...
hope this helps

You need to drain the tank and change the fuel filter. You should be ok after that.
