I recently put my 1997 MK3 ford fiesta in for an MOT and one of the propblems was apparently the bushes needed replacing, but im not sure whether the garage was just looking for some more work of whether there being legit about it.
I was wondering if their was a way that i could check myself to see if they were just completely lying or if their was some truth behind what they were saying.
Is their certain things i can look for, for it to fail its MOT, and where would i look.

I work at a summer camp and on one of the sailboats the halyard (the rope that pulls up the sail) came completely out of the mast. It's a laser sailboat. I need to know how to rethread the rope through the mast. Please help, we just got the boat donated to us a few weeks ago.

I would be driving and the handbrake light will come on and i will slow down not very fast thought like the hand brake is engaged and it will be hard to push in the brake as if the cars off and its hard to push the brake in. then the power steering will stop working. Then i stop put it in park and shut it off and turn it back on and everything is fine again. anyone no wut this is?

I have a minor problem with my 1999 Ford Escort. The Emergency Flashers don't flash when the switch is place in the on position. I checked the 15amp Flasher Fuse and that fuse is good. I assume that the Turn Signals Lamps are the same lamps that operate in the Flasher circuit: The Turn Signal Lamps are good. I would like to know if there is a quick way of checking the Flasher Switch, and the Flasher Wires for defects. Also, I would like to know if there is a secondary fuse in the Flasher circuit.

By the way I just like to say that the problem I had with the Engine service light has been resolved. A tune up and a Canister Vent replacement solved that problem. And to all of you who responded to my call for help, I appreciate it very much. And Thanks for taking the time out to help with my problem.

I have a 1995 Honda Accord LX with a power antenna. I purchased the Kenwood KDC-MP205 CD player. In the manual, it goes over what each wire is for, and there is a blue wire where it says "Power Ant Cont - Do Not Use" or something to that effect. I know that the cheaper headunits will not seperately raise and lower your antenna when the tuner is on, rather the antenna goes up when the unit turns on and down when the unit turns off. If I hook this "unused" wire up to my car, will it power the antenna just when the tuner is activated, or is the wire truly unused?

I was thinking maybe with the lower priced units, they still include the components responsible for raising and lowering the antenna with the tuner, but they just cut the wire so you can not use this ability, therefore suggesting that you purchase a more expensive model?

i made a helicopter using popcicle sticks.. but now the problem is that when i turn on the main motor (that rotates on the top.) the hole helicopter starts to spin in left. so i just want to know how to stop the rotations and the helicopter is hand held helicopter..... i didn't add the back rotor which is attached to the tail of the helicopter.. and please tell me what does the rotor in the tail of the helicopter does??. (sorry for the bad grammar.)

It is still under the 100k/4 yr dealer warranty plus the seller also just bought the extended 50k mile warranty...it is in great condition and it is a good deal? Should I be weary of the high mileage though? Or is it ok ?

I've got a Honda Pilot that has 1 more payment and the buyout value is $19,000 (Canadian - I'm in ontario)... i'm 10K below the KM limit... so comparable cars are selling for $24,000... we are not getting another Honda - so i can't negotiate with Honda dealership.. how can i get that $5000 out? If i buy it and sell it there is $3000 of taxes to pay which increases the risk... thoughts?
