I have a 1993 Saturn. I usually add oil to my car about every 3 weeks, maybe 1/2 - 3/4 of a quart. I started my summer job and have been making much longer commutes than usual and I accidently waited the same amount of time to check my oil. Yesterday I sat in really bad traffic all the way home for about 1.5 hours. When I got home i realized a slight and very faint noise as i turned my car off that sounded like metal clinking and knew right away i was low on oil. I checked it after it cooled down and it was very low, it holds 4 quarts to the full line and it took 2 quarts to get it back up to the full level meaning I had roughly 2 quarts in there on a 4 cylindar. I added the oil and drove to work today with no noise or problems. I really only need this car for 1 more year. Will it most likely be okay or am I going to get a big problem in the next few weeks?

Thanks

I will be driving up to Fort Dix, NJ from the Baltimore, MD area on July 3. The drive should ideally take about 3 hours, but I've heard that traffic will be horrible on the turnpike on that day, since it's the day before July 4. Is this true? If so, how much extra time should I allow for the drive?

Also, I plan to leave Fort Dix, NJ to return to Baltimore, MD on July 5 sometime in the mid-late morning. Will traffic be horrible on the turnpike at that time on that day as well?

Thanks!

I have a 2 axle trailer with elec brakes. 7 pin plug.

Brakes came on when the RH indicator flashed.

Cut brake drum wires, so trailer can be towed.

But, I would like brakes to work. All lights on vehicle & trailer work.

Isn't it a case of connecting trailer brake wires to brake wire & brake light wire in socket?

I have some gas (likely premium octane) that I did not use for the lawn mower last fall. My mower is so persnickety that I dare not use the old gas in the mower. What can I do with the leftover gas? Can I put it in my car, or will it hurt the engine. It was stored in one of those red plastic gas cans in my garage in the northeast. thanks

i thought it was funny, i was on a plane going to spain and while listening to the flight safty briefing they said in case of an emergency, put on your oxygen mask and bend forward placing your head to your knees. why is that, if your going to crash from an altitude of 20000 feet, what is the point?

My fan comes on and my thermostat opens, but when I turn off the car all my coolant flows into the reservior and starts overflowing. When it stops, it recedes and the reservior ends up empty and bone dry.
