The LX seems kind of outdated to me since the design has been on the market for quite some time now. Though Lexus has excellent build quality and interior appointments, it starts at over $67,000. The Escalade has cool looks with a huge improvement over the older one.It is also cheaper starting at over $55,000. Also you can get it as a pick-up or an extended SUV.

Power:

The Lexus (5 speed Auto) V8 has 268 HP.

The Escalade (6 Speed Auto) V8 has 403 HP.

Go to the websites of these and view the photo galleries of the exterior and interior. The Escalade wins because the LX's looks are simply outdated. It should be getting redesigned soon.

Also, the Escalade has a longer wheelbase 4" more, but is also longer by 10".

FUEL ECONOMY!!

LX (13/17)

Escalade (13/19)

I say go for the Escalde it beats it in every way, and the quality is getting far better than it used to.

You can buy whichever you desire. Bear in mind that the Lexus is a Toyota in a beautiful prom dress, and the same applies to the Escalade, except that the babe under THAT skin is merely a GM Yukon.

A friend just bought a new Escalade, and it's already spent two weeks in the dealership for assorted oil leaks, plus a whining rear differential.

Take your choice.

The first guy gave a really bad answer, that's why i reported him for abuse.

You should buy the Escalade. It is NOT a "passing fad", it's a status symbol, and an icon of a certain way of life. They are very good quality and very, very nice. You will like it.
