Its an 89 Chevy 1 ton, 454 TBI. I am getting fuel to the injectors, so I know the fuel pump is good. If you prime the truck, it starts. Replaced the fuel pump anyways, just to be on the safe side, and the electronic computer control. I also replaced the fuel relay. Any suggestions?? I don't want to put this beast in the shop, but I got to get her running. I need this truck. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Okay so know that I know a lot more about the Infinit G35 and the Lexus IS 350 which comes more highly recommended, and are used ones just as good?

I don't want to pay all that tax for a new one, I already did that w/my sports car.

I was offered a lincoln town car, 1999, for like 2,000 dollars, but I dont think it will be worth it because it has almost 300,000 miles, but it was well maintnanced, and is in good condition, but it was used for a cab company, and has sooo many miles. I figured, it might last a while, because, I dont drive that much, and I can always overhaul the engine, but I dont know exactly how long it might last. What do you think, is it worth it?

New fuel pump, I tried fitting it in many ways but when it lines up with the cam lobe, is seems wobbly, the cam lobe that is, I can hear and feel it jiggle around as the lever on the pump touchs it. As such the pump does not pump when turning over.

Do I have to take my timing cover off and check it out, is there anyway to tighten up the cam lobe from the Hole where the pump goes in? Anyone has any pictures of what the inside looks like or whats going on?

Year: 1988
Make: Lincoln (Ford 302 engine)
Model: Towncar

Sporadically, when driving, my check engine light will turn on and I will lose power from the engine (it feels like the RPM drops significantly, to nothing, or almost nothing) for 2 or 3 seconds, and then everything will be fine again. This happens at any speed between 45 and 75. At first I thought it might be a compression problem in one of the cylinders, but that doesn't make any sence since it is intermittant and I can take the car up to 90, 95 (I'm afraid to take it higher, ;] ).

Anyway, I am thinking it is a bad ignition module (ford is known for those), and it HAS been getting worse since its been getting hotter (it was around 110 today).

However, I have had no problems starting the car (yet).

Do you think my assumption is correct?

Thanks.

I have a 1973 seacamper house boat that my grandfather gave me. My mother told me that the last time he had it on the water was about 20 years ago and it ran great. He never winterized the boat and this is why I believe the engine is locked up. I need some advise on how I can get the thing to turnover.

I took the rubber cover that connects my air filter and my carborator off, to clean out my carborator with carb/choke cleaner, and it was dripping oil. I checked my air filter, and there is oil in that also.

i have found that i have .25 of an amp draw on my battery. there are two fuses that are linked to this draw, and when i pull them the drain stops. one fuse is for the the radio, the other one controls the dome light and some other things. i started to dissconect the radio, but it did not want to move very easily, and i wanted to know if it could be sodered together, or i just wasnt pulling hard enough? it is a factory radio.98 mazda b2500. since i know what fuses are linked to the drain, is there some way of taking my amp meter, and starting from the fuse box , from the point of those fuses track down the problem i was concerned that if i forced the radio connection loose and broke something loose, i might break connection with something needed to operate the truck, or should all wires leading to the radio connection only pertain to the radio, if it just affects the radio , i will do it.my dome light would not go off the other day, so i think part of my problem is connected to that,
