Try window cleaner and a scraper blade (razor blade) to scape the paint off of your windows. This should help. If its just the writing chalk, most of that comes off with water. If you have some residual paint left, try window cleaner and triple zero or 0000 steel wool (found in almost any hardware store for almost nothing). Anything heavier than that will scratch them. Also, I have found that finishing polish (not heavy duty) works at taking out small scratches. Hope this helps.

Here's the real deal. Use a single edged razor blade to get most of the paint off. To polish the windows like new, use a white toothpaste on a rag and polish the glass. Use water to get the paste off. Dry the window and it should look new.

I have found myself in the same situation as you & i resolved my situation by using a product called 'Gumption Paste'-which is a multi purpose cleansing paste. This product can be used on the following item's,baths, basins, stainless steel items, cooktops, laminate, vinyl, fibreglass, hard plastics, glass products. It is a paste & you add abit of water to a spong/cloth & then you wipe abit of the paste on & away you go,please note this is in Australia but im sure you can get it elsewhere.I can honestly say this does work.
